What size were your overdue babes?

I've officially passed my due date. I'm ok with this. Im not overly uncomfortable, I tell myself she might sleep better and I'm not exactly pumped about labor. So if she needs to bake some more...let's bake.

But I do wonder if she will come out huge. We tried to not get a ton of newborn stuff but you know how that goes. Mamas with babies that went over...how big were they and what size clothes?

My midwife will let me go two weeks over but says she is 95% sure it won't get to that. I was 1cm dilated 80%effaced at my first cervical check, 39w5d-Wednesday.

I'm being induced to night at 41 weeks 5 days so I'll let you know lol

My ultrasound said 8.3 lbs but you know how those are .

Mine was almost 5 days late and when we finally induced he was 9 lbs 12 oz.

My first was 3 days over, he weighed 8lbs 7oz, wore newborn for a couple weeks. Could wear 0-3 too, but it was a little baggy at first.

My second was 5 days over, and was 8lbs 1oz, and about the same as far as clothes.

DS was born at 40w6d. He was 7 lbs 15 oz and 20". He only wore NB size for a week.

Edit to add: Doctor had said he was 15th percentile based on ultrasound, he came out 60th percentile. (They are saying this baby is 13.5th percentile, I'm betting she's more like 50th. I only have a couple NB onesies, I mostly got 0-3m this time to start.)

My baby was born at 40 weeks and 4 days and he was 7 lbs 6 oz.

40w2d and she was 7lbs 15.9oz, 21" long. She swims in anything larger than NB, and even some NB stuff is big on her.

I'm at 39w 5days today and no sign of LO wanting out yet (50% effaced, 1cm dilated, no contractions). Sono on Thurs said he was 9.2lbs, which was the same as the week before. I'm not too worried though. I hope I don't have to be induced or have a c-section. Time will tell!

I was induced with DS at 41 weeks, he was born the next day and weighed 9lbs 14oz. I was never told that they thought he'd be big. I think this LO is heading in the same direction but I'm scheduled for a RCS at 39 weeks so hopefully he or she will be at least a pound smaller. I just make big babies! He wore very little in terms of NB clothes and probably could have skipped them completely if I hadn't washed them already!

 My first 5 babies were all overdue to various lengths (4 days to 2 weeks). They ranged from 7lb 13 oz to 9lb 3oz (she was only 4 days past!). So the length overdue didn't seem to correlate with size.

 This baby born oct 28th was only 39 weeks and 7lb 7oz-a peanut in this family! She swims in nb, but is the first of my girls to even wear nb! and my boys wore it for like a week. My girls were my two biggest babies. 

 I have no idea why this baby was before her due date when all the others were late. I didn't do anything different, except be a lot older.

All three of my babies were overdue.

DS: 1 day over, 7 lbs 6 oz
DD1: 6 days over, 8 lbs, 12 oz
DD2: 6 days over, 8 lbs, 7 oz

Ds was 41.6 and he weighed in at 8lbs 2oz. He was in nb for a while.

My DD was born 3 days late and she weighed 8 lbs 13 oz. No idea what this one is measuring at, haven't had an ultrasound since 18 weeks. I'm guessing I'll go overdue next week though so we shall see if she's as big as her sister was once she's born.

Don't wait!  My son was 13 days overdue & ended up a c-section because he was 9lbs 11oz. He probably would have weighed 1lb less if we induced at due date & I might have been able to have him naturally. The recovery was very hard.

Seventeen years later & now pregnant with 2nd boy, and going for natural! Can't wait!

DS was only 3 days late but he was 8 lbs 12 oz, so pretty big. A week later, he's definitely still in newborn clothes; in fact, I wish I had bought more newborn clothes! Most of his are 0-3.

DS was born at 40w5d and was 7lb 5oz, which interestingly enough was exactly what they told me he was estimated at at my u/s 4 days prior. NB stuff fits perfectly, haven't tried any 0-3m stuff yet.

Peanut was 4 days over due and was 7 lbs 15 oz.  He was in newborn clothing for about a month.
