Driving -___-

My baby has been low most of the pregnancy and driving is one of those things that just don't mesh with her position. I can not drive longer than 20 minutes without beginning to feel uncomfortable. My stomach basically sits in my lap and after 20 minutes I start getting cramps and tightness down below. Eventually baby starts making erratic movements that make me feel guilty enough to pull over and stand for a minute or two. I've even had to park, recline my chair for about 5 minutes, and take deep breaths. I do not drive often at all because of this but when I absolutely have to I find myself dreading it.

Anyone else experience this?

  • Driving actually had me in hospital more than one in my previous pregnancy. I spent up to an hour at a time driving stop start traffic and it kept pushing me into early labour. The Dr eventually has my husband drive me to work in those last few weeks before mat leave. Please don't just ignore it. Try to lift pool or maybe scale dark on the driving.
