I would love to help you but I opened the photo and can't even tell the photo is a baby let alone where the sex parts would be. If the ultrasound tech can't tell we definitely can't tell. I would paint the walls neutral/white/beige :-) Sorry you did not get a good photo.
Live like there is no tomorrow..Love like you have never been hurt...
Due to the position of the baby and the umbilical cord being between the legs, my ultrasound tech wasn't positive about the gender. She said she's "pretty sure" it's a girl. We are about to paint the nursery and thought maybe I'd get other opinions just for fun
I'm just not sure what you wanted to hear. I don't think anyone on here is an ultrasound tech. If your tech wasn't 100% sure, then I would go ahead and paint the nursery a neutral color just in case, since that seems to be your primary concern.
Well it's kinda weird that your first post was this... a shot between the legs asking us to tell you the sex of your baby. If your tech wasn't sure, how can WE be? We aren't techs. And we certainly can't tell you what color to paint the room based on that picture. Go for half blue and half pink and you're covered Or, I dunno... green, yellow, gray.

Well I don't know about you but I'm a highly trained ultrasound tech. Cuz I'm on TB. And I see black/white fuzzy stuff. I really want someone to birth a cat like in my dreams so I vote cat! Sex of the cat I just don't know.
What exactly is your experience you shared? We're all at the tale end of our pregnancies and have been sharing shit left and right for months. Baby genital pics never go over very well.
I suggest going to another tech with a more updated machine. This far along, I'm not sure why the picture isn't very clear. The clarity looks as bad as the machine from the turn of the century that the midwife in town uses.
No, I'm good. I can see that I'm clearly not welcome to share my experience or openly ask any questions I may have. Sorry to intrude.
Ah, lighten up. I'm not sure what you expected...and we all gave nice suggestions of what to do if you wanted to make sure the nursery was painted appropriately. Did you want us to just say 'definitely a girl! Bring on the pink!'?
Then she would come back and yell at us for being wrong. ..
The only thing I'm getting from this thread is seeing @Megan81112 and her siggy.. and wondering why my husband has never presented squash and vegetables to me in this form.
Edited because I totally screwed up her screen name. I was busy staring at that weird pic.

I have never understood the whole 'if you didn't have anything to say, don't say anything' defense.
Pointing out that you should trust your technician, suggesting you should ask for a second professional opinion, or that nobody on here is a professional so our guesses are literally as good as anyone else's, or that the picture is unclear at best -- those are all helpful. Probably not what OP wants to hear, but it's not like anyone is saying anything terrible and I would personally be more upset with a bunch of people guessing.
And if we do guess, and OP painted the nursery the wrong color would OP blame us? What if everyone said boy, then would OP guy get a professional second opinion?
Again, I saw no harm in asking but apparently it was just ridiculous to ask. You all made me feel very welcomed to the group. Thank you. Have a lovely day.

i missed the pic too. i always have slow starts in the morning, especially on weekends. what's the harm in going neutral anyway? so many more possibilities. our elective scan tech was confident we're having a girl and i'm still going sort of neutral, with a bright sort of aqua/turquoise color ("pond" from the line target sells). i may be paranoid though. i'm also planning on taking four outfits to the hospital, just in case: one each girly and neutral in sizes NB and 0-3. lol
or is aqua/turquoise not considered neutral? hm. whatev. i like it.

Oh hon. Next time you decide to join a online community, maybe introduce yourself first?
Then maybe, when you think about posting something ridiculous, the friends you would have made would kindly steer you away from doing do.
Ah, so that's why y'all are opposed to everything I post...

I have no comment for the OP because I cannot see the photo nor am I a trained tech. I just had to comment to say you ladies are so awesome! Reading through this post made me giggle and I was having a bad day until I read this thread!
