Cloth Diapering

rec your hanging bag.

Kinda torn between a planet wise hanging bag or kanga care wet bag. For a hanging wet bag.

Both say can hold up to 15 diapers.

Thoughts? I have a kanga care so I'm trying out that size at the moment. I don't think it will get me up to 2-3 days of diapers.

I'm ideally looking not to empty until wash day. I'm lazy.

Here is pie in thanks

Re: rec your hanging bag.

  • I was able to get two days worth of diapers (12 one size pocket, sometimes AIO diapers) into our kangacare bag, but just barely.  You really need to jam them in there.

  • I use flats during the day and pockets and night so I may be able to squeak by with my kanga care.

The planet wise ones are so pretty though.
  • I've been using Alva wet bags. They're small but great for the diaper bag. I really think I need something larger.

I'm not sure how the size compares, but I like that the handle snaps on my large kawaii wet bag. It makes it easier to hang my bag off different things.

That bag is bigger than kangaroo care but not as long as planet wise. But a 1/3 of the price.

How many days you get out of that maple?
  • We go out of town often and our PW hanging bag will hold the dirties for both girls.  It gets a little full at the end but we can still zip it.  I also like that it has 2 handles.  I feel like it would be too much weight on 1 single handle.
  • I have a pw and a kanga. I like both. The Pw is bigger but I can fit almost 3 days of mostly prefolds into the kanga. When DD gets older I will switch to BG's and I will have to wash EOD anyway so I think they will fit. I like the kanga a bit better because the pw can get all twisted up in the wash and then I have to fix it and spin it out again to dry it.

  • I have a PW hanging wet bag for weekend travel and for MIL's house. We can fit a few days' worth of pockets in it. We're happy with it.

  • Yeah I agree @abby8279‌ it seems to get heavy for one handle.

Oh decisions! DH isn't convinced. We have zero floor space and a pail on the floor is more of a trip hazard.
  • I used a five gallon bucket with dd and this time I'm planning on just putting them in the hand washing machine directly instead of making more laundry.
