Local Shopping for Baby

I will be in Baltimore next week for a week long conference and wanted to know if there are any great baby shopping options? I live in a small town in Texas and we do have Babies R Us and Target but that is about it :-( I do a lot of online shopping but its hard when I want to really see and try out some of the bigger purchases in person first (i.e. car seats basinets strollers, etc.)
