RAR! I need advice......

Teetering on the ledge over here. But in my defense, I think 29 days on Lupron will do that to most people.

Not sure who remembers my post on my PUSHY family..... and how I am getting stressed trying to stay in the Fertility Treatment closet when they are all over me for everything.

One thing i mentioned was my sisters sudden interest in a family vacation. Naturally. Well, this is apparently the topic that will not die.

Earlier this week I Told her I hoped to be pregnant and couldn't commit...... her response "I hope to be pregnant too. Pregnant, not dead..." I then explained to her that if I Get pregnant, I am looking at about two months of no salary.... And she apologized and understood.

Fast forward to todays text "I am thinking I am going to surprise the family with a weekend vacation rental as a Christmas gift. Would you guys be able to do the weekends of August 8th or 15th?"

URGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF, and that's a big, fat, huge, emphasised IF my FET works - I will be due August 2 or 3. SO NO, as of right now those weekends are off limits and at minimum will be for the next 3 weeks.

I seriously want to scream. As I'm sure many of you can relate, getting pregnant without your husband in the room kind of sucks enough, I personally do not want  my family knowing I am getting implanted. And I feel that after going through shot after shot after shot I Am entitled to this.

Sooooo I need suggestions on how to dodge.  I am going to say we have a wedding (blatant lie)......one of the dates, but need help getting around this. I would be open to this idea if we could pick a date in June - but naturally my other ROYAL PITA sister vetoed June because she's going to Turks and Caicos..... (but on another random note, she actually left my moms retirement dinner early the other night saying she couldn't afford to keep paying her babysitter....victim much)....so that's off the table. And really so is July because I am not sure if I would want to be a few hours away from home given the quickness of my first labor. again, BIG, FAT, HUGE IF.

Ultimately I am getting REALLY upset that she's leaving me to put the cart before the horse. I know I am a little cray cray but that's the exact mentality I try and stay away from during treatments......But at the same time I do NOT want her spending money on this thinking that I will be there.

So anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this?

Sorry for the dramatic long ramble. But there are only two people that know about this cycle. My friend who I have been lucky enough to cycle with (at the same clinic, it's actually been fun).... and another friend who I"m currently upset with......so needless to say I don't have a lot of people to turn to

Man no one gets the hint! I would just say look I can't commit at this time. I hope to go so book dates that works for you all and if we happen to attend great..if not there is nothing I can do about it right now. We just don't know where we will be finacially at that point. I would put it on that and leave it at that. IF they want to push for more answers just shut it down.

SO annoyed. And she's not thinking this through at all. She is also actively trying to get pregnant right now. Let's say she gets pregnant this month..... Guess what - her due date would be right around August 17th.......

She is also having some issues (thyroid, and long cycles).....so I don't necessarily want to point this out as I Am trying to be sensitive (and probably over sensitive).....but seriously - LET IT GO. We can do a family trip any other summer.

Oh even though they said they would be paying..doesn't matter. You need gas, time off etc to go and you will be eating out etc. I think because things are financially tight for me that is my reason for not doing much now and I pretty much shut conversations down. If you don't understand too bad..I can't do anything about not having cash to dish out for extra curricular activities. Yeah I wouldn't fight the discussion just stop talking. I hope people get the point when you have nothing to add to the conversation

I am sorry this has turned into such an ordeal. I would just say that there are a bunch of different reasons that a summer vacation won't work for you guys this coming up year, so thank you for the offer, but we cannot do it. I don't know how many times or ways you can say "no", but I would just say it again and hope she gets it this time?!?! I mean, her intentions are good. She wants to get together with all of the family. She just isn't getting it that it won't work for you guys this year.

This. And for crying out loud, your sister needs to learn to take no as an answer.

For crying out loud!  Pushy is an understatement!  I too would just say that we aren't in a position to commit right now.  Try and sound very decisive so she doesn't keep nagging you!  Oy vey!

How annoying!! I would just reiterate that you can't commit to anything next summer, end of story. And tell her that it doesn't mean they can't go without you. Done. Hopefully she'll get the point this time.

Yeah i agree with everyone tell her you cannot commit right now. If it works out that you can (i hope you will be busy giving birth )you will be there but otherwise let it go...

Thanks for the positive feedback ladies. I'm losing my mind over here. Al I want to do is NOT think about things s I don't freak out. She's making that impossible. Oyyyyy veyyyy! Thanks for letting me vent
