    I'd like to take a moment to thank the universe for aligning my husband's job loss with my MFing IVF retrieval. Stupendous. Perfect timing. Because we all know, when shit is going to go wrong, it's going to go so fucking wrong it'll make your GD head spin.

    IUI #1 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IUI #2 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IUI #3 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!!  Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
    FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    Yes. We're all on his insurance because I am a SAHM. The insurance was covering the IVF. COBRA wants $1300 for ONE month of coverage JUST so I can do retrieval, which I literally HAVE to fucking do after stimming for 10 days, and that is HALF the severance he received. It's a total fucking nightmare.

    @potatocastillo - that is just not right and COBRA coverage is never even remotely affordable.  I'm sorry but I agree - you have to finish now.  BTW - sounds like you're right in line with me this treatment cycle.  How are things looking?  I am at Day 12 - plan is to trigger tonight for ER Sunday.  I am ridiculously sore and uncomfortable and barely sleeping at night.  My count this morning for big follicles was 10 on the right, 7 on the left.  Ultrasound tech stopped counting all of the little follicles between 10-12 mm.  I also learned today that my left ovary is 'high up' which makes retrieval of those eggs difficult, which explains why I was so sore after ER in 2011 and unable to return to work the following day as planned.  Already figuring on calling out sick Monday.

    I am most likely triggering tomorrow for Monday retrieval. I had 7 on the right yesterday, nothing measurable on the left- my left ovary is slow functioning since the last ectopic, and it is disconnected from the tube lying behind my ute, so yea.. Just there for decoration, basically. It will produce something, but it's always slow to respond.

    Thanks for all the support, I can't really share this with anyone IRL because we're not open with anyone about the IF treatments, and because my family is a bunch of assholes anyway- so there's that. I am thankful I have a support group I can turn to in difficult times.

    Dearest Diary,

    Please have this upcoming FET be successful. Even though I will have one more frostie left in the cooler I just don't have the emotional reserves to withstand another loss. Meantime everyone I know who wants to has added to their family. I'm 37, married 7 years and just want the TTC phase of my life to be over.

    @potatocastillo - WTF!!?  I am so, so sorry.  No one should have to go through that shit, especially at the same time!  I agree as much as it sucks you need to finish this cycle.  You made it this far and hopefully this will be the last time you have to dump $ into fertility treatments.

    Oh my friend, it just sucks so so much. I know I already told you thus, but I so wish I could actually do something to help in addition to encouraging words. Any chance this is an opportunity for your husband to move into a better job in the near future? Like one of those "blessings in disguise" types of situations? And, by the way, we all know how Murphy's Law BFPs are so popular around here. Hold onto that for some encouragement!

    We're trying to tell ourselves it is for the best because this job has been giving him tons of grief lately for shit that has been out of his control  (like workers not getting their shit done when he is off?!?! obviously HIS fault, right?! ) We've dealt with this in the past and in the past it has always led to better things, so even though this time is super scary being in the fucking middle of an IVF cycle- we're hoping that better things will come soon.

Oh that cruel fucking universe in such a fan of. -_- I hope somehow you can put the heaviness of all of this somewhat out of your mind for the next couple of weeks and and keep your spirits up.
