Week/Fruit:
How are you feeling?
Appointments/Updates?
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently?
Rants/Raves:
QOTW: Okay so I am sure we have awesome well organized moms and then there is well of course me...lol. What big things do you need to still accomplish? Anything you think you are going to be just winging it due to time constraints.
Re: **~FRIDAY TICKER CHANGE~**
How are you feeling? I am okay I would appreciate some better sleep. Its not that I am not sleeping I am just not sleeping well... I guess just getting me ready to when I get 4 hours at best a night.
Appointments/Updates? I have an appt next week, starting my every other week appts. Horray me that falls on thanksgiving week of course. I am also supposed to be doing the kicking chart...I guess I will start that today!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? ....no, I actually have put myself on a time out until my showers that are coming up. One on the 15th and then one on the 29th. I do need to purchase a glider...so that might happen.
Rants/Raves: my sideways profile...caught my eye this morning. At first I was like awww look she really is growing look at that tummy. Then it was like omg it looks awkward its no longer a lil round ball like before its like a beach ball that poorly made so more air sits on one side. LOL imagination ladies...you know lopsided..maybe a balloon would of been a better analogy here.
QOTW: Okay so I am sure we have awesome well organized moms and then there is well of course me...lol. What big things do you need to still accomplish? Anything you think you are going to be just winging it due to time constraints. SOOOO yeah....ummm I knew I always wanted a Doula, what if I told you that i just started interviewing...opps. Lets see what else start day care touring like months ago and got overwhelmed...and well I just started up again. LOL...(Nanny share anyone in the Falls Church VA area) OH the big thing I think about that damn bag for the hospital...HAVE NOT started to even think on it but due to 10 weeks to go, I assume its a good idea to at least start it (this might be my wing it item, then I will regret). Last but not least...that class on child care and birthing at the hospital...need to schedule that.
How are you feeling? So good. Physically just small discomforts and we started our labor and delivery class this week which has reduced my anxiety.
Appointments/Updates? Last week I measured 5.5 weeks big by fundal height. The OB was a little concerned so we had a growth ultrasound yesterday. Baby boy is measuring in the 53rd percentile, so right on average and I have just the right amounts of fluids. He is currently lying breach, although who knows if he was last week, which may explain some of the measuring big. I guess I just have a uterous that is the opposite of the tardis, that is bigger on the outside than in
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Nope. May do a little shopping this weekend. Our shower is the Sat after Thanksgiving so we are holding off on any big purchases till then.
Rants/Raves: RAVE: I actually really like the benefits people in our HR!! I had an hour long meeting with them about how our health insurance works, really complected co-pay/deductible/co-insurrance system, and how to apply for FMLA. Now I have my fingers crossed that baby and I are discharged at the same time because he is considered part of me until I'm discharged. So his deductible doesn't kick in unless I leave first! It is also nice to know that here if for some reason I go out on bedrest it is considered a different leave than maternity, so I won't lose my 6 weeks after baby comes no mater what.
QOTW: Okay so I am sure we have awesome well organized moms and then there is well of course me...lol. What big things do you need to still accomplish? Anything you think you are going to be just winging it due to time constraints. Hmmm... We have done stuff to get ready for labor, hired a doula, started classes, toured the hospital. We have done pretty much nothing to get ready for the baby itself. We have no where for him to sleep, no car seat, a small box of clothes, no diapers, no bottles (will pump after going back to work). We DO have two baby towels so I guess we can bath him! We really need to interview pediatricians. We really need to start to figure out how we are turning my office into baby's room. We are doing a full on themed nursery but we need to move stuff out for the crib and rocker and cubbies for his clothes. The problem is that next weekend my husbands best friends are visiting and this is our guest room. Soo... haven't wanted to start too soon. But then the weekend after that my husband is traveling to CA, then it is Thanksgiving and then it's Dec. I guess not much will be done till then.
How are you feeling? Feeling good. No complaints.
Appointments/Updates? Still going to physio once a week for my hip. Have my 32 week appointment next Monday.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Went on a shopping spree at BRU on Sunday. Got the crib and set it up. Got a swing and car seat and some other things.
Rants/Raves: Rant: Got a call from the BRU store manager last night that the car seat we bought has a recall and should never have been sold to us. So we have to take it back and pick a new one. Thankfully, he is offering us a $35 giftcard for our troubles.
QOTW: Okay so I am sure we have awesome well organized moms and then there is well of course me...lol. What big things do you need to still accomplish? Anything you think you are going to be just winging it due to time constraints. The nursery just consists of a crib right now. Hubs still needs to paint the baseboards. My dad is building us a change table and book shelf, which he should be done with soon. I am hoping to find a cheap small dresser that I can refinish and paint, still on the hunt though.
I think we are now officially besties! lol I am seriously thinking dr who nursery for the 2nd should it be a boy. (Nerd alert)
Oh and bravo classes in full swing! My DH is fighting me tooth and nail. (Don't get me started)
@jenncurtis you are 32 wks that is insanity! 8 weeks to go! Let's hope for dec 2014, tax wrote off here we come. Now nursery I think as long as you have a crib, changing table you should be able to wing it.
2014 or 2015 doesn't really matter to me..we are Canadian so we don't have to worry about insurance or anything.
How are you feeling? I feel great! Just had a dentist appt yesterday; they said my teeth look good.
Appointments/Updates? I don't have an appt until Dec 1st; I start going weekly after that.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Not recently. I'm hoping I can convince DH to go baby shopping with me next weekend. I'm sure when we go back to visit his family for Thanksgiving, we will receive more baby stuff we just don't have room for in our apartment.
Rants/Raves: I'm kinda with @wormygo with the rant. Last night, saw someone drive in a bike lane and almost hit a cyclist, only to meet him at the next light. Yeah, you got far. For living in a state that banned cell phone use while driving, I sure see a lot of stupid people texting (or emailing, idk) while driving. ARG!
QOTW: Okay so I am sure we have awesome well organized moms and then there is well of course me...lol. What big things do you need to still accomplish? Anything you think you are going to be just winging it due to time constraints. We still need to accomplish a nursery. We plan on her sleeping in a bassinet in our room for the first few months. Our nursery is currently my husband's office/computer room (we're both really big nerds and still play video games online). We just need to move some of the many bookcases we have in there and rearrange, but's it hard to get done with my procrastinating husband. I did put together our jogging stroller yesterday, mainly because it came with an infant car seat we needed to get to. DH wants to start running, but I don't. Not unless I'm being chased by zombies.
How are you feeling?
I'm feeling pretty good other then the sleep challenge I've been encountering!!! Super anxious and a bit nervous and excited all at the same time since the time is almost here..
Appointments/Updates?
Had my 32 week visit Thursday everything's looking great, I have a growth U/S in 2 weeks to see how big she's gotten :-S.. Had an NST appt yesterday and was there for a good hour and a half because they couldn't get her heart rate to spike up!! I have to look forward to those twice a week now!! And last but not least, I start seeing OB Doc every 2 weeks now!!!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? I bought some cloth diapers for my little princess and one of my girlfriends but a few things of of my baby registry! That was pretty exciting to receive in the mail!
Rants/Raves: Can't seem to get a good night's sleep now!!!
QOTW: Okay so I am sure we have awesome well organized moms and then there is well of course me...lol. What big things do you need to still accomplish? Anything you think you are going to be just winging it due to time constraints. :-S Well, I think I'm pretty much set if she decided to come ahead of schedule (fingers crossed) but I still need my glider.. Other then that I'm all set, even her hospital bag, I'll most likely through something together for me at the last minute
