This is a day that reminds me how spoiled I am that MiL comes to our house to watch LO. She asked that I bring him to her on my way to work since she is having furniture delivered. So now I actually have to get him dressed, pack his bag and take him with us to the bus stop.
DS, my parents and I are road tripping down to DC today to see DH!
But first 9 month visit with pedi and a bunch of other errands. I hope we don't get stuck in horrible traffic :-/
DC as in Washington, DC?
If so, YAY for my hometown! But...it's Friday which means traffic pretty much everywhere and at every time. I hope you guys have fun though!
A started clapping last night, which is cute. I swear, I just have to publicly declare that I'm worried about him and then he starts doing all the things.

@TessyMessy My MIL comes to our house to watch the kids too. I think that will be ending soon though. I don't even want to think about getting both kids up and out of the house by 6:30.

Yay for A! Babies love to make us worry! I really should clap more for DD but it doesn't come naturally for me. I had the same prob with DS.
LO slept pretty well last night. My cats did not. They were banging up against the nursery door, eating our curtains, and just causing general mayhem. So not amusing.
In other news, it's parent-teacher conference day. I'm 99.9999999999% sure I won't have any conferences, so I'm hoping I get to go home early. I'm not holding my breath that I won't have to stay, but it sure would be nice!
@joybaby5 We have the Crane and really like it. It has lasted a long time and is easy to refill. There are several different animals to choose from, or you can get a more neutral one.
@CiaoMama I hope you enjoy your birthday dinner tonight! Are you just celebrating today, or is your birthday today? Either way Happy Birthday... whenever it is/was. <:-P
@djtippietoes Yay for clapping!! I know you've been worried about these things, so that was a great thing to see this morning. M started clapping last night too. #clappingbabytwins
Good morning.
I had the weirdest dreams last night that kept waking me up. Like, crazy dreams about me being chased by one of the hairy beasts from the new Malificent (sp is wrong, I'm sure. Too lazy to google) movie. I've never seen it, but apparently the short clip that I saw of it on Disney Jr. yesterday really stuck with me. This resulted in me tossing and turning all night with freaky dreams.
Isn't it a kid movie? DS1 is getting it for Christmas from his Grammie and now I'm scared to watch it. Has anyone seen it?
@shellbell I hate when LO sleeps fine and the animals (in my case, it’s my dog) do not.
@jessasaurus2008 i think he just likes to prove me wrong. So publicly declare away!
@bluedot818 A did that too. This was after the cute clapping. This was middle of the night, I’m either crying because I have a cold or my teeth are bothering me, but he was clapping at the same time.

Yes, Washington, DC. H and lived there for many years so I am mentally preparing myself for the clusterfuck of Friday traffic we will most likely encounter.

:-h You'll be in my area!
I'm going to spend some time with a good friend of mine who has a 18 month old. She's recommending the Reston Zoo tomorrow - what do you think...yay or nay?
@breadpudding We just watched Maleficent last night. Honestly, I was pissed at what they did with the storyline and I was not impressed overall. It's not a little kids' movie though...there's some violence and some more adult themes. Maybe older kids, but not really toddler material.
@katybriggs that sounds like an intense (but productive) conversation. I can commiserate with having zero sex drive. Can I ask what you meant about your changing roles?
So my husband just made plans with his friend smack in the middle of Saturday. It's a friend who lives out of town and we don't see often. But really, man? Noon on Saturday? That translates to your friend monopolizing the whole damn afternoon. I don't mind him seeing his boys, but sheesh. All week he's been talking about 1.) spending time as a family, and 2.) giving me a break. I'm just so irritated.
@magentawarped Damn it. Well, at least it wasn't my gift to him for Christmas. His Grammie is getting it for him. I will probably just exchange it or keep it unopened. She is mailing the gifts, so I can easily take it out without him knowing. Thanks for the heads up.
SOMEONE MOW THE LAWN (or shovel some snow, $hell?) PLEASE
I mean. .. if you think it will help... I guess I could go to McDonald's when. T wakes up...
DO IT!!!!!!
I'm waiting on a call from the new job people, telling me to come down and finish filling out paperwork. I refuse to believe that this is all happening until I sign on a dotted line.
Since none of your efforts at mowing/raking/doing chores has yielded a phone call from my job, I have decided to cave and start Season 10 of Grey's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obviously, they'll call right in the middle of a very important part, because logic.

Why can H come home early today for no reason but next Thursday I have to take LO with me to the eye doctor because H can't spare the time? Anyone have a good answer?
I think we are FINALLY back to 'normal', although about an hour off still, from DST. Ever since her seizure the 18th of October, she has been waking multiple times a night, not necessarily for any particular reason than she wanted to be awake. She had been napping less than 45 minutes at a time, 3 or 4 times a day.
She slept an hour this morning, and is going on 2 hours this afternoon, and as STTN the last 2 nights.
I shouldn't complain, we have had it fairly easy, but it feels so good to get back into our routine!

Okay, I’m taking notes on a post-it.

Debating whether to pop into Target at lunch or just eat and watch netflix???
I just got crop dusted by our CEO!!!!
I have no idea why I find this so fascinating.
DSD has her first school dance tonight! Sadly, she's with her mom so we won't get any pics or to hear about it until tomorrow.
I feel so behind. Did I miss the book discussion?
Also, I miss picture uno.
