T-Lex, she's wonderful for watching DS every Friday, but she sleeps over every Thursday and she drives me nuts! Question after question after question.
Edit because i have a son, not a daughter... And fat thumbs
My crock pot full of red lentils and sweet potatoes is making my house smell amazing. I have no desire to do anything that could be construed as house work.
I'm keeping an eye on DD for signs of a concussion. She hit her head on the floor at basketball today. She gave the wrong answer about which gym she was in when the coach quizzed her, but she got all of the other questions correct. She's known to give stupid answers so who knows. No symptoms right now, but I'm making her stay up with me for a while just to be on the safe side.
I was going to let the boys stay up past their bedtimes to watch the game, but they are being horrible. "I forgot." "I didn't do it on purpose." "I won't do it again."Yup, bedtime for you two.
Hugs @sundae13. We all have rough days. You should have seen my boys before I made them relax in their rooms early before bed. You'd think they never had a day of decent parenting and discipline. It's a full moon tonight btw. I blame that.
I'm seriously considering calling it a night. I've been up since 5:30, therapy after work, daycare pick-up, skating lessons, dinner at the arena, home and bed for the kids. I'm pooped.
I just had two glasses of wine at the neighbors and now remembering that I've always wanted to get my nose pierced. Is that a weird thing to do after age 30?

I did mine again recently. I'm 32. Maybe it's weird, but if you want to do it, do it. I'd recommend going when you haven't been drinking though. Alcohol thins the blood, etc.
Ha! Not going tonight, but now you've inspired me. Maybe this weekend?
I haven't read the thread yet but today can suck it.
SO left and he and I are taking abreak or separation or whatever. And honestly I don't really care if it works out anymore.
I also finally got into the therapist today and she diagnosed me with severe depression (but not quite bipolar so yay?) and moderate to severe anxiety. Since I'm breastfeeding she was only comfortable with giving me Zoloft until she can do more research on it.
Needless to say, I would really like a drink but since this is my first dose I want to see how it affects me.

It's pouring here too. But we did go out for a short walk. Hubby and DS are watching a movie and Squeaker is hanging out on my lap as I bump. I've already had some wine and likely will have more soon. Cuz wine.
I really want a rose gold chain, ring and bracelet. I'm tempted to just buy it cuz I have been hinting at hubby since DS was born and he hasn't. I want it because both kids were born in June and since I'm not much of a pearl person, and rose is the official flower of June, it would be something in commemoration of my kids. Hubby is going out of town for a few days and I may do a little shopping while he is gone. Or if I have more to drink tonight I may just do it now.

You do that. I'll get my nose pierced. Perfect weekend.
If daycare calls and says your kid is acting off, do you pick them up if you can?
We picked B up because she was "pathetic" (not fussy, not feverish--just didn't eat snack and acting very withdrawn) and of course she was pretty much fine once she was picked up.
Fuck no. I do not pick him up unless daycare is like "you have 30 minutes to get here before we quarantine him"
LOL. There were times when they highly suggested we come get them that we didn't (they occasionally thought shit was contagious that wasn't), but their description was that she was just really pathetic. I highly trust this teacher's opinion, so we picked her up since it worked with our schedules. Otherwise, I probably would have been on pins and needles all day, waiting for her to puke.
Oh, I see we're the same person.

@rondackhiker The team uses two different gyms at the high school for practices. She answered the wrong gym to the coach, but does know which gym she was in now. She correctly recalled who her scrimmage teammates were at the time (which switches multiple times during practice) and did the days of the week backwards etc. I think she's ok, but she's taken so many hits to the head over the years, it still makes me nervous.

That sounds promising! I hate head stuff. Remembering all that is a good sign. I used to drag barn mates to the ER when they messed up simple details more than once.

Yeah, I'd definitely be more worried if she answered more questions wrong. She's the type to answer the wrong gym without taking a hit to the head so I didn't want to overreact.
Huge round of applause & high fives to all you single moms & moms with SOs that work OOT/odd hours/are gone a lot. I mean I sometimes feel like I'm losing my shit after 1 day alone with my kids & you ladies do it day in & day out. Good job, ladies =D>
Re: I'm gon' drink
An aside- am I the only one who gets a super stuffy nose when I drink wine?

H is on a mission to get beverages as I type. I may steal them all and hide in the bathroom until bedtime.

@Sundae13 I'm so sorry you're having a hard day.
@klondikebar Does she remember where it happened now?
In Canada btw
