Does it seem to just go one day? I have a few diapers that had slightly relaxed elastic and now all of a sudden they are mostly relaxed. I have been using the ones I bought new for over a year and then I bought a large lot used. I'm pretty sure these are part of the used ones. They are in heavy use, so I'm sure it's time to start repairing them.

Yeah I have a couple that just kinda "went" one day. Same on one of my Grovia shells. I'm too scared to attempt a replacement myself.

It looks pretty easy and I plan to do it by hand. Some things are easier that way.

Are you a sewing master? I could make a pillow case and sew a button, but I'm definitely a novice and wouldn't want to ruin the pockets/covers

It's really not hard at all. I just did 11 elementals. I did the elastic by hand and then used the machine to re-sew the casing back on. It could easily be done by hand as well. I think if you can do a pillow case you can do it. there are several videos online too.

I didn't bother to use the seam ripper on the old elastic. I just cut it off right next to the stitching and used put the new right on top. I attached a safety pin to the new piece to feed it through the casing, then attached the other end.
