Dollar Store Divas

Since we all are trying to live on a slightly tighter budget thanks to baby expenses, leaving the workforce etc, I thought we could create a list of things you've found to be cheaper/better buy at the dollar store. I was thinking of this yesterday when I realized my local dollar store sells batteries for $1....seriously, I could have gotten the 2 stupid 9V batteries we needed for our pumpkins for half the price that we did! And I can't get them out of the mini light so we can't even save them for smoke detector usage! 

Anyways, so if you have something you regularly buy at the dollar store, feel free to add in the comments.

Here's what I've found:

Batteries

Slow cooker liners

Oatmeal 

Holiday paper goods (unless you are super fancy and break out the china)

Gift wrap

Cards (seriously! I hate buying a nice wedding gift and having a decent card cost $3 more!)

Disposable Diaper Sacks (75 ct on amazon runs 3.99...they are $1 for 75!)

Gift Wrap!  (I know you already said that but it's that awesome.)

School Supplies

Hair bows, headbands, clips for my nieces

Christmas Ornaments to put in gift bags, baskets, tie on top of gift.

I go to the dollar store whenever I need Mylar balloons.  They're so much more expensive at Hallmark or Party City or whatever.

@KatyBriggs the battery brand I got was panasonic. I don't remember the other brands they had, probably not Duracell but I've used Panasonic before and it's as good as any other brand.

@njb750 I'm a bit of a brand snob with certain cleaning products, but the general surface cleaner wipes/sprays pretty much do the same thing.
