Did any of you deal with this when you were pregnant?

Hi mommas,
Maybe it's weird to post this here but you all know how I feel about my new BMB and I wanted some insight. At this weeks appointment my OBGYN said I'm measuring two weeks ahead. Based on my original due date, I am 35 weeks pregnant but measuring at 37. I asked the DR if that meant I should expect the baby early she said it just depends. She said that I could have him soon, or that some women measure ahead and still go past their due dates. I have an ultrasound scheduled for the week after next but was just curious if any of you experienced this and how it turned out? Thanks!

  • DD always measured at least a week ahead and she was born a week early. But she dwas also really cramped in there because she was over 20 inches and I'm 5'2" witha short torso. It took a week after she was born before her legs didn't immediately spring back up into fetal position when you tried to stretch them out! I think it's a combination of baby's size and how much space they have -- if you're taller, there's more room for them to grow so it could still be possible to go late.

DD measured ahead and was nearly 2 weeks late.
She was also a 10lb baby though lol.

  • I measured ahead for my middle and he was the one that went the farthest past dd. all my kids were 21 inches and I'm 5'2"

  • thanks ladies, DH is 6'4" and I'm 5'8" so DD has always been in the 95% height wise....The dr doesn't think Garrett is big weight wise though. @prettygirlfromphilly- that is pretty much what I said to my husband, I think they're just educated guesses. LOL
