I'm having one tomorrow (on myself) and was wondering if other have had to have this done when they were pregnant. Also, if they found anything or if it turned out to be nothing serious?
My neice was throwing up a lot while pregnant and would often get so dizzy and faint. She ended up having to wear a heart monitor for a month afterwards but in the end she was fine.

I didn't have one while I was pregnant, but did have one within 2 weeks of my son's birth. They did find something and it totally resolved itself. That was almost 12 years ago. If I do get pregnant, I will be monitored at least every trimester and a couple of times after the birth with an echo-cardiogram to make sure I don't have a relapse. As matter of a fact I am getting one this month or next month. My new PCP wants me to get one. At first I was mad because I haven't had any issues and I had a full cardiac work up in 2010, passing with the Dr stating I could run a marathon with my heart. I am glad now because I will have a recent one and a good baseline to start with when I do get pregnant.
The echo is bad. Just some pressure on your chest with the wand. It is actually pretty cool to watch on the screen and if you have a good tech, ask them question about what they are looking at. If you don't mind me asking, why is your Doctor wanting you to have one and how far along are you?
I have 2 heart conditions (diagnosed at 3 yrs old) so I am used to the echo/ekg process. The increased blood flow from pregnancy caused my heart to have more episodes of irregular beats and palpitations. I visited my cardiologist at 23 wks? and all was well... just my heart being my heart, haha.
I also had 2 fetal echos being that I was a gestational diabetic. Feel free to ask questions if you have any.
