Flu shots?

Has your baby gotten their flu shot? We are going to be traveling for Christmas to NYC and will be exposing Mia to the wonderful world of airport/airplane germs. I got mine and she is EBF. I didn't want to give it to her with all her 6 month shots but now I think I should now before we travel. I'm just curious if you ladies have or haven't? Or if you aren't at all? Thanks

mine got the first round. they need a booster a month after the first one so you may want to get her in sooner rather than later so she can get both before traveling.

Thanks ladies I will go make an appt for this week if they Have or early next week I forgot about the booster. I give flu shots but for adults at work

Yup. My pedi called us as soon as she placed the order and scheduled Will first. So we have both now. Love the special treatment. she's also convinced she can get insurance to cover the RSV vaccine but I know he doesn't meet the criteria. I'm letting her go to town though.

Lo got her first flu shot at her six month appointment and the second a month later. Our pedi has enough vaccines for babies but I think they have a shortage for older kids.

LO got the first round yesterday, we will go back next month for the other half.

Yup. LO got the first shot last month. She gets the second shot next week.

We're scheduled for tomorrow. There's been a shortage of infant shots in our area. MH and I got ours about three weeks ago.

We got both doses (1st dose with 6mo shots and 2nd dose ~1 month later). DH and I also got ours (mine at the local pharmacy, his at work).

DS1 and I got our vaccines last month but our clinic didn't have any for babies yet. The twins have their 9 month appointment soon and I was planning to get the first round then, but now I'm thinking I should call to see if they have it yet and get them in sooner.

I wanted her to have it at her 6 mo. appt but the drs ofc didn't have any for children under 3.  The PA told me that the state didn't send her any this year b/c they didn't use enough of their supply last year.  Then she did have them and LO was scheduled for an appt because she had a cold, but they wouldn't give it to her at the appt b/c she wasn't 100% healthy.  Then 3 wks after that she really got sick and had an ear infection/antibiotics.  She is just now finally getting better, but now my father has a cold, and they take care of her during the day, so I'm guessing she's probably going to get sick again.  This sucks! I'm figuring she will just have to get it at her 9 mo. appt in Dec.

My LO got the first round today. Better safe than sorry!
