Pregnant me had potatoes as a meal at least 3x's a week. We had hash browns, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, tater tots. I JUST NEEDED ALL THE POTATOEZ.
you just made me hungry!!! omg yes to turkey gravy, like real turkey gravy from roasting a turkey for thanksgiving and making gravy with the juice. you just can't beat that. *drool*
here is a great recipe for easy mashed potatoes y'all might enjoy:
Fill a microwave bowl with water and skin-on potatoes (or peel if you want). nuke for 20 mins. put potatoes in big bowl. toss in 1/2 stick salted butter. mash the shit out of those F*kers. add a bunch of sour cream, garlic powder, milk. mash more. take out your frustrations on those potatoes. feel it.
then add some fresh chopped chives. the chives are the key. add plenty. mix. add salt to taste.
