Doppler

Probably a crazy question, but here goes! I purchased a Sonoline B Fetal Doppler w a probe. I'm 13w1d. In the directions, it's says feel the position of the fetus by hand. How do you know where the baby is actually at!?! :-/

Re: Doppler

  • No clue but my husband did that when we first used our Doppler, but he's a Dr. I tried to "feel" it and I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Although, he couldn't find the hb and I found it right off the bat when I tried. So watch some YouTube videos and just stick it on your stomach.

  • Thx y'all!! This is my first pregnancy so I'm new at all this!! I appreciate y'all's input and will def be looking at some YouTube videos!!
  • Yay!! I can't wait to figure out how to use mine!! Lol!!
  • I have the same one & am 13w5d I find heartbeat with in minutes depending on baby position! Like the others have said right now baby is just above pubic bone! It's a great Doppler you can hear the heart beat pretty clear! Good luck
  • Yay @tbrew1131‌!!! I hope I can find it!! My fiancé wants me to wait til he gets home from work to try it! Lol!
  • Hey all,

Which doppler brand would you recommend? I'm not looking for anything fancy but it should be reliable, obviously. :) @BabyShirah were you able to find the HB with the SonoB?

    Thanks!

  • @marijaa333‌ I have the sono line B and love it. It got it new on eBay for about 50 bucks.

  • My hubby bought the Sonoline B a few weeks ago and I love it. The first time it took a really long time for us to find the heartbeat, but that was just because we had no idea where to look. After we found it the first time, it has been easy to find ever since (watch YouTube videos...it really helped!) It's so nice to have that peace of mind...worth every penny!

  • I have the Sonoline B also and eventually after watching the YouTube videos and going back to the dr and finding out I was 11 wks (had my menstrual date wrong), I did finally find it over the weekend!! Go to YouTube and search how to use fetal Doppler and it should be the first one that's about 13:38 long. Really good one because she tells you what noises are and what's not baby's heartbeat!!
