I have looked for mittens in LO s size and can't find a thing. We have been working outside in 19 degree weather, and she will not keep on thick socks on her hands.
@BMBrinson I have seen the ones from carters. They just look so thin to me. I would be fine with those, but I will be working and using my hands to keep them warm. LO in back carry refuses to tuck her hands so she can play with my braided hair.
I will check out the children's place and target online. I have mixed emotions regarding ebay. We have past experience that were just not great. The ones I have seen that were our winter warm enough had a zipper up the side of the hand to the finger tips. They were well designed so they couldnt come off, but at $250 they damn well better be.
I would think a body suit with fold over hand cuffs would work well for your outside winter chores @flyingtoast. I'm going to get one for our walks home from daycare and it is certainly not as cold here in VA as it is your mountains.
This. We got ours from Cabelas, so when its really cold I can fold those over and know she can't pull them off. We also got one of the $10 Target hat/thumbless mitten combos for running to and from the car.
So do I not even try? I just let his fingers freeze?
FWIW I was joking, I mean they do fall off but if you're in a climate with freezing temps (and I mean actually freezing not southern zomgs it's 50 degrees freezing ) you have to wear something.
The "sock for hand" seemed to be easiest/work best for separates, but the bunting with fold over hand coverings is awesome, although LO does not like that so much.
@boogerbearoriginal I do live somewhere freezing. I'm going to have to go to Target, though I just ordered a bunting. LO has a snowsuit with snow pants, but I can't find boots anywhere.

My LO hates hats, so this should be a fun winter.
