I'm needing some assistance...we are trying to transition dd out of swaddling but her hands are so cold. her newborn mittens no longer fit. she currently loves her hands and they are always in her mouth so do i need water resistant ones or will fleece be fine? what are you other moms doing?
Honestly I've just let him have cold hands. He likes to have his hands out so he can suck on them, play with his blankie, etc. At first I was concerned about his little hands too, but now I feel like if he was uncomfortable he wouldn't be STTN. I have increased the temperature in the house a bit though.
My LO gets cold hands at night, too (just like his mommy), but since he seems to be sleeping comfortably we're currently leaving him as-is. May need to rethink this if he has trouble when winter comes for real. (But since I'm in Texas that'll be like...February.)
My LO gets cold hands at night too. I just hold them or shove them between my boobs to warm them up when she wakes up at night to eat.
I do this, too! In the MOTN feeding, I always hold his hand that's not tucked under his body. He wraps his tiny fingers around me, and it's just so sweet.
I personally wouldn't worry too much about it and would probably just leave the hands a bit cold. However, if you're looking for a solution, they do make gloves in small sizes.
