Ashris13 thanks for the check-in, I am feeling much better today, see update below!

How far along are you?  40w1d

Upcoming appointments?  I had my last one this morning and am finally making some progress- old wives tales FTW!!  Lol.  I am 1.5cm dilated and 50% effaced, so my midwife stripped my membranes.  They also did a NST and baby looks great, although I'm not having any contractions yet, which I already knew.  Hopefully the membrane strip will get things moving!  If not, at least she was able to try it before induction, which is being scheduled on Wed or Thurs next week.

Any updates to share?  See above!

How are you feeling?  Feeling much more optimistic today.  Physically the same, frequent pain and trouble sleeping so very tired.  But still all normal stuff

QOTW:  Besides celebrating baby's first Thanksgiving, there's so much to be thankful for this year but the first thing that comes to mind is my job that offers me flexibility, plus good benefits for our little growing family.

@Rox825 Awww!!!! I cant believe its time already. I cant wait to see updates from you.

  • Thanks for the check-in @ashris13!  I'm sorry you are having swelling problems - no fun.  I've been fortunate so far.  My check on Monday was what I thought - cervix is still closed, but softening. I hope that is at least a step in the right direction.  I don't think I would be as ready to meet her right now, but my sister went 4.5 weeks early on Sunday (originally due after me) and has her baby at home with her after a few days in the NICU.  Baby is good though, but making me want to meet my little one!

How far along are you?  37+1

Upcoming appointments? Another weekly check next Monday.

Any updates to share? Nursery is totally finished and bag is packed.  I'm ready but OK with waiting a few more weeks.....just getting antsy.  Strep B negative too.

How are you feeling?  I'm actually feeling fine, which is why I'm OK with going a few more weeks.  The sleeping situation is hit or miss, will sleep great one night and not great the next.  Only issue that I'm really having.
QOTW: Since it is almost Thanksgiving time.. Give me what you will be thankful for (beside our growing miracle babies). I'm so thankful for our families and friends.  Baby has been spoiled (really didn't have to buy much on our own) and my in-laws have especially been so helpful with finishing the nursery and taking care of us.

*New RE* Sonohystrogram and hystereoscopy done in Feb.

  • Thanks for the check in @Ashris13!

How far along are you? 36 weeks tomorrow!
Upcoming appointments? Thursday OB, Friday growth scan.  Can't wait to see her again.
Any updates to share? Contractions are still happening every once in a while (no patterns, no more than 4x per hour), but definitely no signs of labor yet.  Because I have GD, they monitor me closer and they still say I have at least another 2-3 weeks.  Eviction day will be black Friday if LO doesn't make her appearance before then.  GD management has been going well, but probably ate a little too much bread this week.
How are you feeling? Massages, tons of ice water, working from home everyday and lots of rest are the only way I'm surviving right now.  I go for weekly prenatal massages and they said we can start doing "induction" massages triggering pressure points to help move along this process.  I hope it works!

QOTW: I'm most thankful for my amazing DH.  He's been a true partner to me in every sense of the word and I'm so grateful we met when I was 22 and have built our lives together, brick by brick, over the past 9 years.

    IVF #1 Oct 2013- cancelled
IVF #2 Mar 2014- success.... baby girl born 11/28/14
FET #1 Mar 2016- baby boy due 12/16/16

  • @Ashris13 Hope the next few-ish weeks go smoothly for you! We finally got rain in California so the yard sale was cancelled. Gonna try again this Saturday.

I am 31w2d and have an appt next week. Last night we took an infant CPR class and tonight we start our birthing classes. Very excited!

QOTD: I am thankful for the support we've rec'd. Our employers, coworkers, friends, family, and this site have been amazing! We are very lucky.

Hi ladies! 29+1 and things are going well over here! Just had an us/ob appointment this morning. A is measuring 3.1lbs and B is measuring 3.4lbs! Holy big babies...its making me nervous! I'm not feeling super awesome right now. TMI, but I have like four hemorrhoids and an awful belly ache. I definitely ate something that I shouldn't have...the deep fried foods call to me...Next appointment is Nov. 19th!

I also have a bladder infection, which I had no idea I had. I've had recurring bladder infections since I was about 14 until 23 and they were quite obvious, this one isn't obvious at all. Starting antibiotics tonight when I get home from work though. That's about it for now =]

QOTW: I'm thankful for a *so far* smooth house buying process. All of the paperwork is done! It just needs to be Nov. 21st and we will be closing and moving in! We're so excited!!

  • Hi ladies!  I'm 36w5d today!  I'm feeling good, but I'm uncomfortable quickly and tired.  DS was sick this week so it only added to the exhaustion!  I have a regular appointment today and probably my first cervical check so we'll see if anything is going on down there.  Based on DS, I'm betting probably not.  But my RCS is scheduled for 11/24 so the end is in sight either way!  Only 10 working days left.

QOTW:  I'm so thankful for my family and the fact that my mother is taking the week off that I have the baby to be at our house with DS.  I think it's important for him to be in his own environment and on his schedule since his world is going to be rocked.  I think I'm more nervous about how he's going to react than I am about having this baby!

  • How far along are you? 31 weeks today

Upcoming appointments? Not next week, but the following week.  Going every 2 weeks.  Last appointment this past Monday was pretty uneventful, the usual, listen to the heartbeat and ask how am I feeling.  I got my TDap and my arm was super sore this week!

Any updates to share?  Busy weekend ahead, I have 5 days off!  Going to a pain CE tonight, work baby shower tomorrow, breastfeeding class Saturday, family baby shower Sunday.  Also need to take my endocrine exam for grad school somewhere in there and oh our new family car is in so need to pick that up too!  lol

How are you feeling? My back is killing me!  My OB said she would write a doctors note for me if I need to reduce hours, working the nursing floor can be hard at times.  They have been putting my rooms closer together.  I'm on the fence right now because we need to save our money especially with new car, baby on the way, school tuition, and the fact I'll probably reduce my hours when I return from maternity leave.

QOTW: Since it is almost Thanksgiving time.. Give me what you will be thankful for (beside our growing miracle babies).  Since I have two showers coming up, I've just been feeling really grateful from all the support we have received.  It has really touched me and makes me teary eyed at times.  Also thankful for my wonderful supportive husband who has really been my rock through IVF, this pregnancy, grad school, and work....he is just AMAZING!!!!

  • Thank you for the check-in, @ashris13! I can't believe it's almost time! :)

How far along are you? 35+5 today!

Upcoming appointments? About to head out for my NST. Regular OB appointment starting every week next week.

Any updates to share? I spoke about our plan with the OB last week, and as of right now, we are going to do a 39 week induction if all goes well. I am really crossing my fingers she'll make her appearance naturally prior to then. If I'm completely "unripe" at 39 weeks, I may go the full 40, but definitely will not go past my due date, due to the GD and low papp-a. It's hard to think, the baby could be here by the end of the month!

How are you feeling? To be honest, pretty miserable. I somehow developed a random rash around both my eyes, and can't figure out if it's pregnancy related, allergy, or both. I never had any allergies prior to pregnancy. I was thinking about trying an elimination diet, and maybe taking out dairy but it's how I get a lot of my protein since I'm not a big meat-eater. So yes, I'm ready to meet this LO for sure!

Congratulations to all the new moms! This was a BIG week! So happy for you ladies. :)

  • Congrats to all the new mamas!

@Ashris13 - EDD is 01/21/15 - thought I had included it before but guess not - Sorry!

How far along are you? 29w1d today
    Upcoming appointments? On the 11th
Any updates to share? Tool the flu shot last week - finally! I'll probably be getting the tdap at my next OB appt.
How are you feeling? I had this really bad pain in my side last week - no idea what caused it. I went to the doc and she thought it might be gallstones but I did an u/s and tech didn't find anything. If I laid on the side that hurt, it made me feel better. So I spent 2 days off from work laying down on my side. I was so fustrated by having to take those days off but I am glad I feel MUCH better now!

QOTW: I'm really thankful for my dh and my parents! My parents paid for this cycle and without their help, we'd still be trying to save up some cash as opposed to anxiously awaiting this little girl's arrival! And I'm so thankful for my dh - he's been such an amazing and supportive hubby!

Upcoming appointments? I have an OB appointment on Monday.
Any updates to share? I spent Tuesday night in L&D. I went in for routine AFI and NST monitoring. They said my fluid levels were low, that I was contracting every five minutes and was fingertip dilated and 70 percent effaced. I spent a scary night thinking I was going to have an emergency c-section (little guy is breech, and they didn't want me to go into labor), but in the morning my fluid levels checked out ok. They basically admitted that the tech who took the initial low fluid reading was probably wrong. Grrrr. So, I'm home on modified bedrest, hoping to keep this little guy cooking (and hoping that he'll turn!)
How are you feeling? Scared. See above.

QOTW: Since it is almost Thanksgiving time.. Give me what you will be thankful for (beside our growing miracle babies). I'm thankful for having such a wonderful and supportive husband through all of this. He's going to make the best father.

  • Hello ladies!  Congrats to all who had their LOs last week!  Looking forward to more birth announcements!

How far along are you? 34w3d

Upcoming appointments? Just had one yesterday, next one in two weeks.  Going in for the 36 weeks GBS test.

Any updates to share?  We've set a date for the big move.  We're moving out of the condo on the 15th so lots of packing going on.  LO's room is painted in the new house and waiting for chair rails to be installed.  Then we can start putting furniture together and add the final touches.  I will post a pic when her room is finally done, can't wait to get started.

I posted about this before regarding my only one frozen embryo.    I spoke to the fertility clinic again and decided that I'll keep my last little frostie.  I found out it's not gonna cost as much as I thought (still $850 for one year of storage plus a $500 deposit that is refundable).   I may try FET again next November before I have to pay another annual storage fee.   I don't know why but somehow I feel like I have to give that little frostie a chance.

LO has been having LOTS of hiccups!  I used to feel them once in while, it went to daily and recently 2-3 times a day.  My doctor said it's nothing to be concerned though.

How are you feeling? I still feel pretty good and still sleep well at night (very grateful). DH and I are 95% recovered from our cold, yay!

QOTW: Oh where do I begin? Besides the little miracle growing inside of me, I'm grateful for my wonderful DH, supportive parents, in-laws, friends, having a great, flexible job that I love, and a pretty easy pregnancy so far.   As much as I hate having to move this late in my pregnancy and having to go thru a kitchen reno in the next 2 months I'm still grateful that LO will have a bigger house to grow up in and I'll be much closer to work after the move.

  • How far along are you? 32wks 2 days

Upcoming appointments? Nope! I had a regular checkup yesterday.

Any updates to share? DH and I have attended two of our five week birthing and childcare classes so far. This week’s class was for the childbirth supporters. They went over different relaxation and breathing techniques we may want to use. The nursery will be complete soon! Once I’ve had my shower (next weekend!) I will take pictures to show everyone the finished product

How are you feeling? The past 2 days I’ve been feeling more exhausted than normal. It’s hard to describe. I feel like I’m in this constant haze. They did note at my OB appointment that my BP was pretty low and I told them I’ve been feeling energy drained and pretty crampy, but my OB didn’t seem too concerned. I think the cramps are related to the baby being in the head down position putting pressure on my cervix. I’ve been pretty busy the last few days and I probably just need a day or two to wind down.

QOTW: The ups and downs of this year with my miscarriage in January, IVF in April and pregnancy so far has really shown me how important and incredibly lucky I am to have not only DH and our family, but my friends as well. I’m so thankful for the supportive people in my life right now. I really don’t think I could have gone through this year without them.

How far along are you? 29w4d

Upcoming appointments? Just a regular OB appointment on Monday. I also need to schedule a visit with a pediatrician.

Any updates to share? Not really, everything is still going smoothly!

How are you feeling? Still feeling pretty good. I've been sleeping better the past 2 or 3 weeks so that's nice. The only thing I can complain about is that I have lower back pain often and the BHs are sometimes really uncomfortable. Otherwise, I'm good!

QOTW: I'm so thankful for H's newish job. We now have awesome affordable benefits and I'll be able to stay home with the baby (and my pups) full-time, until the fall at least. I can't wait until my last semester is over - just five more weeks!

  • Hi all! Congrats to all the Mamas and babies this week! So amazing to think that's sooo close to being the rest of us ;-)

I am 30w3d today and had a check up yesterday. Now we switch to every 2 weeks - holy wow!

Everything looks great, fundal height is measuring on track, only 10 lbs of weight gain so far, blood pressure is excellent. I am beyond grateful and humbled that I have been lucky enough to have such an easy pregnancy (so far!)

I am starting to feel uncomfortable - bending over hurts my belly so I have to squat with my legs wide. Sitting with my legs together compresses my belly, so again, no skirts for this lady! Legs are wide apart! Standing on my feet for long periods, like cooking and doing dishes, makes my feet achey and swollen so I think I am going to buy myself some comfy supportive slippers.

QOTW: My parents are in town this weekend to help finalize the nursery, so my gratitude at the moment is for having parents this wonderful, supportive, loving, and generous.

My Mom sewed a crib skirt, curtains, pillow, and changing pad cover, and has helped organize and buy all the last remaining detail items we need. My Dad has installed the shelving in the closet, is building a bookcase, and in general fixing things around the house (I am the handy spouse, and I am mostly out of commission for those types of projects right now)

I will AW the nursery when it's all done, but I am LOVING it so far!!!

  • How far along are you? 34w6d

Upcoming appointments? Midwife appointment 11.14.14 for check up and Strep B test.

Any updates to share? Not really.  :)  No news is good news.

How are you feeling? Fighting a pretty good cold.  I hate that I have cooties while being pregnant.  I'm trying my hardest to not take medicines and to be natural, but I've had to break down and take some Robitussin DM.  Orange Juice is my best friend and so is good old chicken noodle soup.  Since I have this cold, I've been resting and not walking outside - I want to get better, not worse.

QOTW: I am incredibly thankful for my husband and my family.  My husband has realized that I'm nearing the end of pregnancy and that things aren't easy for me anymore.  He's taken on some of the tasks I normally do and I'm go grateful.  He's also been fantastic at telling me to rest and feel better since I've been sick.  I'm thankful that my family is so close and so helpful.  My mom and dad offer to come down and help out anytime we need something.
Married on October 20, 2012.  Began trying in January 2013.
RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis

Updates? My apt went great, both babies were measuring exact on everything! HR 139 and 3lb 4oz :-)
How are you feeling? Very tired! Its like first tri all over again, all I want to do is sleep (& eat). I am getting over a yeast infection (woo hoo) its been miserable! But I'm glad its getting better! Other than that the same...just very uncomfortable and terrible reflux.

QOTD: I am so thankful for DH and family and friends. Everyone has been so generous! My mom and aunt sent four freezer meals for me to help out. (I tried to cook supper the other night and felt like my back was broken when I done, I just can't do it anymore!) & DH had been amazing, doing ALL the house work so I don't have to and he's the only one working right now but he is handling everything. I feel very blessed to have him!

  • Congrats to all the mamas with outside babies!! As for me, I have been MIA... not really busy, but not really relaxing either. I'm still working quasi full time but as it's a family business my hours are pretty flexible.

I actually feel pretty great for 37+4. My energy level seems to have picked up (impending doom?) and I'm weekly with the midwives now. Just starting to get impatient. I know it's still early but part of me wishes for an earlier rather than later baby. I just worry that the baby will get too big and will be a real challenge to get out.

QOTW: I am thankful for my husband. I would be lost without him and he is the glue that keeps me whole. I am so very excited to see him as a father.
  • BABY IS HERE. More details to come later. SO EXCITED to share my story
