MN for Emerson

I love the name Emerson for a girl but am stuck on a middle name.  I know if I do use Emerson which is unisex I would want a very feminine middle name.  Any suggestions would be really appreciated.  Also is Emerson a horrible little girl name?

Oh I like Isla.  DP isn't completely sold on Emerson yet.  We had a name picked out we loved for the little girl we lost and are having a really hard time thinking of a name for this little girl.

I love Aria.  Vivian and Piper are nice too.  Emsley is very odd and I really dislike Emerson.

Emerson was actually contender on our list as well. I know it is trendy but i really like it. Middles names could be Ivy, Marie, Jane, Ann.

Love Vivian. Some other people mentioned Jane or June as MN, I think these go with pretty much and FN and are very nice.

I agree with pp that Emerson is masculine. I think Emmeline might be a good alternative for you.Vivian is lovely. Other suggestions (sorry if there are repeats).

Thank you for all the input.  I didn't even know Piper and Aria were both from Game of Thrones.  I connected Piper to Charmed which was why I am not the biggest fan but DP loves it.  I looked up the meaning of Vivian in our baby book and like the meaning.  I didn't realize how masculine people would think Emerson was but I wouldn't want my LO to have a name that she would constantly need to defend.

I did my own post a couple of days ago about this name as well, because I do LOVE it for a girl. I didn't like any of the suggestions from anyone else. To each their own. It's a great name!  And, I actually hate it for a boy. I agree with pairing it with a more "girly" middle name. If we use Emerson we are considering Emerson Kate.

Sorry for your loss. I met a sweet little baby girl a few months ago, her grandmother was holding her and we introduced my son. The grandmother introduced the little girl as Emerson and then apologized for her daughter and son-in-law's bad taste in names. She then proceeded to say that at least she can go by Emma.

I'm not a fan of Emerson. I know it's a boy's name, though I've personally never known a male Emerson or anyone who considered it as a name for their son. It's just too "of the moment" and trendy to me. On the flip side, I love love LOVE Vivian and Aria. I think Faith would go with either as a MN.

I love the name Emerson. I knew a little girl named Emerson and she went by Emmy until she was older.

Emerson is just weird for a girl. Think about how that is going to look on a resume, business card, or application some day. Everyone will assume they are calling a man, and when they call or meet your daughter she is going to have to deal with people being confused or being jerks (oh I thought you were a man comments, her whole life).

Actually the Game of Thrones name is Arya and it has a different meaning and pronunciation than Aria.

But I agree with Emerson being an awkward name for a girl. I would assume it is a man if I was not introduced face to face.
