Opinions on this School Rule?

Re: Opinions on this School Rule?

  • She came home from School on Friday crying that she had to stay inside due to refusing to fasten up her jacket.

School have now suggested that I make it a rule in her daily life so I did. She wanted to go out for Lunch this afternoon and because I don't drive, we had to walk in the pouring rain so before we went out I said to her "fasten up zip on your jacket please, its chucking down" but she said "only if you do it", so I did but then she moaned about it getting fastened to high so all I said was "it is chucking down, you need it fastened to there (it was about 3 quarters of way up).

Question is, should I have zipped jacket for her or asked that she do it herself? She can zip it herself but is lazy tbh, she takes a while to connect zip.

What the fuck is chucking down.

Lol. It has a nice ring to it, though.
    I'm guessing rain?

From now on I want to say chucking down.

I'm literally lol'ing at this thread. Mostly the last page and a half.

More importantly though, hoods vs. hats. Where do we stand? ;-)

  • Enforce the zipping rule. End of story. She might fuss but tough buns.

The OP sounds like she is from Scotland.

@ScotTanya‌ threads here develop all on their own. It's just the way of the board. Enjoy the trip down the rabbit hole & through the looking glass. ;)

Many times the off-topic threads are the best. :-bd

  • I've read this entire post over a few days but I think it turned my brain to mush. Did anyone mention to OP to buy a her kid a jacket that goes over the head so the zip/not to zip battle becomes unnecessary?

Her daughter won't wear one, apparently.

I feel like this is building up to a link for the perfect coat that solved all the problems. Like a long, drawn out spam thread.

I've been thinking the same thing.
