Trying to Get Pregnant

Need Advice!

Hey! I'm TTC and am currently six days late for AF. I took a test the first day I missed and then one the third day I missed and both were neg. I have had cramps off and on for like a week and a half but they aren't as bad as normal. Also, I have had nausea, constipation, and some other pregnancy symptoms. I called my OB and she can't see me until next Friday. Have any of you had all the signs of being pregnant but still got a BFN? Did you end up being pregnant or not? TIA!! :)

Re: Need Advice!

  • No, I've just recently been actually trying. I had sex like every three days though for the first twenty days of my cycle.
  • Loading the player...
  • I just read it, thanks. I guess this app is different from the last time I used it. People used to be really friendly and not have many rules. Sorry for posting.
  • Not your reply per se, but the link. It seems like the people that are the admins or whatever don't want to be bothered with people just wanting to talk and ask questions to other people TTC. It's just like "hey, read this long list of things not to bother us with and then you can post something we are interested in"
  • "We cannot see inside your ute!" -I mean that is hateful. Obviously no one thinks you can diagnose pregnancy through an app. But having questions about whether someone has gone through something similar isn't stupid. I only asked because I don't have many friends interested in TTC right now and I am curious what other people have found out. I certainly did not think that was a stupid thing to ask.
  • Yes, but this is supposed to be an informal thing, or at least I thought it was. I did read part of that but seriously it's super long. And so is the blog. I just thought this thing was kind of a lighthearted place to talk to other people TTC.
  • Well, I think I should join a board more suited for people who have been pregnant before and are just not trying so hard to conceive. I haven't been trying for long at all and i conceived my first without trying so I don't feel the need to take my BBT or anything like that yet. Sorry for being a bother, guys. Best of luck getting pregnant.
  • Laziness? Seriously? Ask almost any OB and their first piece of advice is to not try so hard to get pregnant and it will happen. Obviously this isn't always the case, but it's kind of what I'm going for right now. Enjoy your wine, I'm sure that's good for the baby.
  • I know when I ovulated too. FYI. :)
  • My OB said that when and if I'm meant to get pregnant again, I will. Gosh, you are all so uptight. I seriously didn't mean to upset anyone. I just remember this app being full of dumb questions and people just answering them anyway. Lord knows while I was pregnant I asked a lot of dumb questions especially!! Lol I hate that you all have a hard time getting pregnant. I can't understand what it must be like and I truly do have sympathy for you all. I don't think it is stupid to chart your BBT or take OPKs, I just meant that I haven't been trying long enough or hard enough to find it necessary for me yet. I honestly just assumed I would get a few stories similar to mine and be done with it. I know this is a "Trying to Conceive" board, but I didn't know it was more of a trying for the first time. I figured there would be lots of women trying for baby #2 or #3 or #7 like I am. Like I said before, this app is so different from when I last used it so I am just a little lost. And I apologize for the comment about wine, I realized that you weren't pregnant but also (believe it or not) I'm not clueless and I have read several articles that suggested that drinking alcohol can be bad for the baby even if it is right after you conceived. I don't drink period though so I can't understand what it is like to have something that actually calms your nerves like wine. Anyway, I truly am sorry and I hope you all get your sweet babies soon. They're a blessing, for sure! Mine is waking up right now coughing his little head off! So I have to go give him some medicine. Ttyl :)
  • I actually do feel when I ovulate because it is super painful for me. I had sex one time when I ovulated and got pregnant. Every woman is different. Also, yes pregnancy tests do lie. If a woman's hcg is rising at a rate slower than normal it could not show as "pregnant" until farther along. I also am well aware that pms symptoms are similar to pregnancy symptoms as I have had experiences with both. I feel a lot like I did the first time I was pregnant and I have way different symptoms than when I'm PMSing. I have a blood test with my general doc in a few hours so I will be glad to post whether I am indeed pregnant or not.
  • I don't understand what I said wrong in my apology that warranted "I can't even"s. I was apologizing for the misunderstanding...
  • Yeah I definitely don't talk like that. I was just being friendly. I'm sorry I have a child?
  • FYI, I decided to take one more test before heading out to the doctor and it was a BFP. So I guess maybe I ovulated late or I am just less educated, but it worked for me anyway. Tried urinating straight on the stick instead of dipping it in a cup, maybe that made a difference.

The blog is mean that's fucking funny.

@riderchik‌, hey boo! I'm missing you terribly.
Nanda I'm not sure if you're more mia or if I am. My house looks so much better though. How are you feeling?
Maybe we're just missing (time wise) each other? I'm really sore from this last procedure. Like I went to the ER sore. The lovely stent placement is aggrivating an already tender spot. If it doesn't calm down on a day or two they'll have to go back in. All of it is trivial compared to what some others are dealing with. Kids are insane as always (wheezy tool his diaper off at nap yesterday and pooped in his crib while sneezy laughed his butt off). How does mr rider like his new job? @riderchik‌

  • I didn't have one until DH got home. I was wondering if it would be worth the money to pay for another before going to the doctor to have blood work.
  • Well, I guess I just assumed that you guys were able to control your thumbs and not click on this thread unless you wanted to hear what I was saying. I didn't post it on your board so that you HAD to see it. Just saying..
  • @riderchik‌ I'm glad he's happier! How are the kids handling him being gone? What about you?
