Intro - loss mentioned

Hey everyone,

I guess I am on this board now. Last monday (October 27) I went in on what was to be my 7 1/2 week ultrasound with my RE. She said there was not significant growth from my 5 week Ultrasound and the heartbeat was only at 44. I was crushed! All I wanted to do was crawl into bed and just cry for the rest of the day. Yesterday, i went back as a follow up and confirmation. This time there was no growth and no heartbeat. I figured as much since I had started spotting on Sunday. Now the cramps have started and I am starting to bleed more. This is so hard! My husband and I have been TTC for two years. I have PCOS and have been seeing a reproductive specialist. When I got the positive pregnancy test last month we were thrilled beyond words. Getting caught in the excitement we went on ahead and told our whole family and a few friends. Now comes the tough part of telling everyone. I am just devastated. I am at the point now where I am just ready for this miscarriage to be over and move on. How long might this miscarriage last?

Sorry for your loss. There is a thread up the top that has different experiences for miscarriages that can give you an idea.
Mentally though it can sometimes take a while and jumping back in too fast may not be the right thing.

Welcome. I'm so sorry for your loss. It may be helpful for you to check out the Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss board as well. There is a thread at the top of that board where many women have shared their experiences with different types of MCs. That may give you an idea about what to expect, I know I found it helpful when I was preparing for my D&C. Big ((hugs)) to you.

All good advice as been given so far (especially going to the MC/Loss board to read others experiences). Everyone's body reacts differently so it's really hard to say how yours will be. I am so sorry for your loss.
