Mixed emotions about CD1

So today I found myself back at square one, AF arrived before the sun at 3am. Thanks for waking me you bitch! But she wasn't greeted with the sadness and tears that she has been for most of this past year. Instead acceptance and a sliver of gratitude.

My BF and I made the decision back in September to start IUI in November, benched for October for my much need leg surgery. So here we are; it is November and I finally feel like we have a chance again. I was so optimistic when we first got started.... then we went to the RE and got the reality check that we weren't somehow special and we are going to need some assistance in getting KTFU. We decided that we'll try IUI for November and December, if necessary..... Then on to IVF in January if need be. So I'm happy and anxious and nervous, and just slightly irritated she couldn't hold off 1 more day... BF has been out of town for 3 weeks working on a film and I was hoping we could have a good "welcome home" before she got here.... Sorry TMI

Oh well off to the RE tomorrow to get started.

Fingers Crossed we don't have to worry about December or January!

UPDATE: That didn't go well at all! When I spoke to him at the end of September of what our plans were with the surgery and all he said it would be fine to start this month.... Today he felt it best that we wait till next month. DAMN IT! That's why I asked before!!! Since my surgery date falls too close to my ovulation/implantation dates he doesn't want to try it. My emotions did a complete 180 in the examination room. I'm so disappointed we couldn't start the ball rolling today. My brain knows it's only one more month, but emotionally it's a much bigger hit. Oh well the wait continues...
