@CFearsy, I'm glad you were able to start getting some testing done. I have a blood clotting disorder (factor V leiden), so I can answer some questions about that if it comes to that. I'm heterozygous, so I'm not on any blood thinners right now, but I will be during pregnancy and 6 weeks postpartum.

As far as the RE, honestly, I wouldn't wait until my OB wanted to refer me. While it's great that your OB is starting the testing for you, ultimately, a RE is the way to go if you start any sort of treatment.

Hi bk!

We just got our SA results back today. They are as follows (so anyone with SA knowledge can chime in!)
The doctor said it looks great, so that made me happy.

Sperm concentration was 95 million

Total motility was 52%

Total sperm count was 190 million

Normal morphology was 8%


I haven't really had a chance to sit down and Google the shit out of this yet, but I want to lol! So the next step for us is CD3 bw for me, and an HSG. After that we have the consult with the RE and we discuss a game plan. I'm assuming it's going to be meds, and IUI. Realistically I would like to wait until Januaray that way my H can switch our insurance to a plan that includes IUI coverage.

How are you? I've been mobile/not around a lot so I apologize!!

@rslh10, I know there are some different criteria that can be used for an SA, but those results seem good!

Good luck with your CD 3 appointment. Will your HSG be around CD 7-12 next cycle?

AFM, I called my RE's office today to let them know that I'm getting BFNs at home. I didn't want to bother driving all they way there for betas when I knew it would be negative. The nurse said I can stop progesterone, so my period should be here in the next day or two. Then, I'll be heading in for a CD 3 baseline appointment and following the same treatment plan next cycle (clomid+trigger+IUI).

@Cfearsy I'm glad that your dr listened to your concerns and complaints appropriately. I'm glad he could make you feel sufficiently better about it and that he will be having a talk with the dr who fucked up. I hope the testing shows you all the way to get the end result you want. Hopefully an easy answer at that!

@amybunny30 Have fun at their celebration! Every two years or so sounds about perfect. Just long enough to have more than 5 min worth of conversation with everyone That sounds like a great way to spend your weekend. I'm right there with you on the cold/flu train. Hit me like a brick on Saturday! 

@rslh10 I have no idea what those numbers mean, but if your dr thinks they are great then WOOHOO!  

AFM: Just WTO over here. Been sick over the weekend and I'm finally starting to feel human. My poor FF is confused by my temps but it seems to be dealing with the fevers pretty well. Pretty boring over here this week. I'm ok with that.

@BethKate2 - So, so sorry for the BFNs dear.  Many, many (((((HUGS))))))
@CFearsy - I'm glad that you are feeling better after your appointment.  I hope that that other doctor gets a talking to!  I echo BK that I would call and RE and at least get an appointment.  There's certainly no hard in getting the testing done through your OB, but I would want a specialist to look over the results. 
@Amybunny30 - I hope you enjoy your time with your family.  Yes, it certainly can be a pain in the ass though. 
@rslh10 - Those sound like good numbers to me.  Good luck with switching insurances.
@JellicalParker - I'm glad you are starting to feel better!  A boring week is good sometimes.

AFM:  Just waiting to O.  I didn't do well with temping over the weekend.  I woke up wrapped in a cocoon and so much later than I get up during the week so they were high and I didn't even record them.  Today's was super high due to an insanely crappy night sleep so I discarded it.  My OPK was still super light so I probably won't O until this weekend or early next week.

@cfearsy we don't have a deductible, and I have 0 coverage for any IUI/IVF infertility treatment When we switch, it will be as of Jan 1st that we will have coverage Just in time for us to gear up with the RE.

@CFearsy - I know what you mean about googling the test results as soon as you get them.  I do that every time!  I hope that you don't freak yourself out too much before your appointment.  ((((HUGS))))

@CFearsy, I'm so glad you had a sit down with your OB and that he actually listened to you and is being proactive in testing. I'm sorry that you're benched this cycle, but I hope you get some answers from all of this testing. Big ((hugs))!!! I'm sorry this is all so overwhelming. Try to see this benched cycle as a chance to recharge and relax (or at least try!). I recommend a cocktail of yoga, running/walking, acupuncture, wine and cheese

@Amybunny30, I hope you feel better soon! Have a great time with your family and drink as much as you need!

@jj32, I'm jealous of this food and wine festival! When we lived in FL, I always wanted to go, but we were never able to make it down. Have a great time! And FX'd for you this cycle. Hoping that it all comes back ok!

AFM, I had a much better weekend than last weekend! It was rainy and cold here, but we had a wine and cheese date Saturday night and MH made a big cheese platter with grapes, olives, breads, etc. And we shared a bottle of our fave wine. It was perfect and just what I needed to recharge. I've been much less obsessive during this TTA cycle, and I think I really needed this break (even if I am taking the break begrudgingly). I'm hoping I'm in a much better head space going forward. In other (good!) news, I got a positive OPK today at CD15. This is the earliest I've *ever* gotten a positive (it varies, but mode is CD18). The cycle we got PG, I got a positive at CD16. So I'm hoping that this is a good sign that my body is finally back to normal (and maybe even improving!) and we'll be good to go for next cycle.

@BethKate2 - I'm doing great! Officially in the 2WW, but no time for crazies of that sort! I've been helping H carry and stack wood in the evenings, and the rest of my life is consumed with Parent/Teacher Conferences. Because of the way the program I am running is I end up getting to do each one whenever the parents want (we don't have a set day or anything) and it just needs to be done before the end of November. Also I am trying to get a head because I'm tired of being behind, so I have been attempting to get my lesson plans written as far ahead as Christmas. Ladies I will be back later when I have a pencil to personalize.

@MrsPhD83 - Yay for an earlier +OPK!  I hope that's a good sign that your body is getting back to "normal".  Ooh, that cheese platter sounds delicious!  Way to go DH!
