Cleaning house, organizing everything including my fall clothes and switching out my summer wardrobe before baby comes by next week and everything else before he arrives. All of the gear is clean and ready to be used right away and now my only goals are to keep everything in working order until baby boy arrives sometime soon. Keeping up with a fresh, clean house is the biggest job I have now and finishing my next children's book this week so I have free time with the baby for a few weeks is my other goal which I am doing pretty well on and giving my six year old as much love and affection as we can before his brother joins the world.
Well, my due date came and past (now 40 weeks) and had my last checkup today before a non stress test next week. Was a little stressed to learn that my BP has shot up quite a bit--not high risk, but keeping an eye out for risk of preemclampsia.
I was really hoping to have baby by now, so finished my entire list of cleaning and setting up baby's goodies... so now the only thing on my list is to breathe and try not to worry!
This week, I need to finish writing Thank you cards and get those in the mail. I can still organize/put away all the babies bathroom items. They are all just sitting in a basket still. Thats an optional one for me though.

I finished everything on my entire long ass list last week! Good thing too since I got sent to L&D for induction at my weekly appointment this afternoon!
This week: Have a healthy baby and bring her home!
- write the last thank you cards and mail them - make spaghetti sauce and lasagna to freeze - deep clean basement - clean out fridge - clean pantry - start Christmas shopping - knit LO's blanket - apply for mat leave benefits
2) Last week's goals:
- have car seat inspected- DONE - Budget- DONE - Renew license plate and sticker- DONE - Call new family doctor- DONE - Knit the blanket- not done, but worked on it a bit - Buy frames for nursery art- DONE and they're on the wall! - Put away summer mat clothes- in progress
3) Updates: I feel really accomplished last week! I'm proud I got so much done. Here's hoping this week (my first week of mat leave) is just as productive.
I FINISHED THE KITCHEN. I was so tired last night I thought I would fall over. But it is DONE. Everything is spotless and the cupboards are organized and I got rid of some junk.
Now I have to do a small hall closet and under the bathroom sink. No big deal.
DH and DD have been assigned to the living room and dining room. But I trust neither of them. I am sure I will end up doing them both. I want to get the carpets cleaned, too. Again, my husband's territory. He WILL get that done, or lose an appendage.
Then... baby stuff. Car seat installation (after getting the car detailed) and packing the hospital bag. Those things will probably happen next week.
