Ok maybe not so fun since it is Monday and we had DST this weekend. How's everyone feeling? In full blown Christmas mode since Halloween is over? How many lbs of chocolate did you eat over the weekend?

I brought at least 1/3 of our candy to work today and put it by the printer.  I can't keep anymore in the house or I am going to gain 10 lbs before we hit Thanksgiving!  

Generally, I'm against cleanses (specifically the ones that have you starve yourself for a week or two), but I do feel like I need to kick-start my body.  I've basically been stress eating for the last 4 months and need to stop.  Anyone done something they'd recommend?

First off I said not to halloween candy, then I ate one piece and it spiraled out of control. Damn chocolate! ToTing was interesting with DS. He was freaking cold so I put him in the BOB. He didn't want to get out to go to the neighbors doors. Instead I get "Push the button mama. Bucket." Really? Who's trained?

We went shopping as a family yesterday and I came out of Target $250 more poor. That place has a hold on me. It's awful. I did however get all of the travel size crap I need for vacation. One more item checked off my list.

I'm putting up our basement Christmas tree this weekend.

B was ok with the time change. He woke up at 7:15 yesterday which was fine because I got my Starbucks that much quicker

As I mentioned elsewhere our plans died yesterday morning. DH is still in the hospital. I talked to the surgeons this morning and he prepared me that there are some major complications they are fearful of. DH goes into surgery at1:30 and I'm here by myself, and very scared. I'm trying not to cry, but I'm failing pretty regularly. Luci is with my mom for now and we have told her she is on an adventure. Guys, I don't know what to do.... Sorry for the heavy Monday morning.

Everyone is still sick at our house, so I'm not sure if I can blame the crappy sleeping on that or the time change. Yesterday was heavenly-- both kids slept until 8 (so 9.. which NEVER happens!) but they made up for it last night/this morning. 

I am all for putting up Christmas stuff now, but I don't really like any of our decorations, so I'll probably hold off. We get a real tree each year, but are awful at remembering to water it, so we usually wait until after thanksgiving to get the tree, otherwise it'd be nothing but a trunk with a pile of brown needles by Christmas morning. I am already more prepared than I ever have been with Christmas gifts for everyone-- I've only purchased a few, but know what I want to get, which is huge because usually I'ms crumbling for ideas.

I was eating an apple this morning (4:30am to be exact) and had to go get the baby. Jasper swiped my apple and took off with it, which bummed me out because usually he will take like 3 bites and then either throw it in the garbage, or throw it on the floor, which usually might as well be the garbage. Today he did neither, and I spent most of the morning looking for this apple. He was no help. I gave up a little while ago (after tearing the house apart, and making at least 3 passes through the whole house on my hands and knees), and while playing with the baby, smelled something apple-y. I've never been more excited to find rotted fruit. Here is where he hid it..... toddlers.........

I'm so sorry @willy_gert‌. Thinking good thoughts that everything will be okay! Can his parents come be with you, so you're not alone? I know you don't get along great with them, but maybe some company would be nice. We had a pretty good weekend. I got a lot of unpacking done and I'm feeling more settled. We had a wonderful time ToTing. Lily did a great job and looked adorable. The only problem now is she keeps asking for candy! I'm at a conference today. I like learning new things, but dislike sitting for long periods of time.

Ours is 65. It's cool, but we wear slippers or socks and use blankets

@willy_gert I'm so sorry. You can cry all you want! It's normal and totally something I would do as well. Please know I'm thinking of you the whole day and saying a prayer! Everything is going to be ok.

@jessk86 that is hilarious. I found a cup of milk 3 days later in B's kitchen. Of course it was in the oven part. Yucky! I knew I smelled sour milk but couldn't figure out where.

I think I'm obsessed with buying my child clothes. I need to stop and I also need to put in a request that LO #2 be a boy as well. I'll cry and go broke buying more clothes.

We put a bucket of candy out on our porch and then check it from time to time while we hang at our neighbor's house. We had tons left when we got home from Trick of Treating. I checked back 30 minutes later and it was gone, and we only had a few groups come through. Filled it up with the rest of our candy. Had 2 more groups come and it was gone when we got home. Things like this used to annoy me. Now I am glad I don't have a bunch of candy in the house. 

I saw someone do a Halloween Fairy on IG, pick out a few of your favorite pieces of candy and leave the rest for the Halloween Fairy, in the morning you find a toy in place of the candy. I thought it was cute but DH wasn't down. DH doesn't even like that I am eating James' candy.

71 during the day, 73 in the evening to warm it up a bit for bath time, and 69 at night.

This is the first year we haven't bought candy to hand out in as long as I can remember...we took DD TOTing for the first time and only to a few houses, so I only ate what she got..very proud of myself!  

Yesterday I had to return something to Babies R Us, so I used the credit to buy our first Christmas gift for DD...a trampoline with a handle.  She is going to LOVE it..I honestly don't know if I can wait until Christmas to give it to her!

I'm bummed that the costume I want to get for James next year wasn't on sale this weekend when all the others were. 

It's the Disney Star-Lord pleather jacket if anyone is wondering  and if I do that for James, Leo will be the Rocket Raccoon in a cutesy homemade costume.

DS got the Little Tikes one for his birthday from my parents. He loves it and gets so much energy out from that thing! It was kind of a b*tch to put together. I'm not sure if it was because I was cranky, DH and I were putting it together or both but I had to walk away

@shiggybop when we're not home, 67. When we are home 69, then 68 at night. It get super cold here in the winter (UP of Michigan) so I adjust according to the weather outside. Also DS is in footie fleece PJ's and has 2 blankets in his crib. I'd actually keep the house much cooler if we didn't have kids.

We keep the house at 66 when we aren't home and 66 at night.  DS2's room has been getting pretty cold, so we are still trying to figure out what works here, but that's what we've been doing for now.  He doesn't seem to mind being cold, but his feet are so cold when he wakes up (even w/ footie PJs).

During the evening / weekend days, we keep it close to 70.  Yesterday we had our fireplace on though and it was 75 in the living room.  I loved it.

I'm going into my interview in 10 minutes. Aaack! Then I'm onto watch the clock mode until I can leave work. I have studying for my test tomorrow and packing to do for our trip tomorrow. Plus I have to get to the store at some point.

I managed not to eat all the candy, but I definitely went backward in my "I'm done with sugar" mantra. But that's a minor issue right now compared to how messed up my back is. It bothered me all last week but got worse last night. This morning, it took me close to 10 minutes to get out of bed. Aleve is barely making a difference, so I'm off to the doc in a few hours. I really hope this is nothing serious.

I was just having this convo with DH. I bumped ours up to 69. I'm always cold though. I'd set it on 72 if I could get away with it.

DD was having none of the TOTing ritual. She cried if I set her on anyone's doorstep, so basically I carried her around the neighborhood. She did say "thank you" if she got a treat, but she wasn't feeling the whole tradition. DS and my BFF's kids had a blast however. DS kept saying, "I'm so excited! This is the best day ever!" It makes me so happy to see him so happy.

I am home today due our continued DCP issues. Got to be a pretend SAHM and take Jack to preschool, then ran errands with Will. Then MOTY, I was almost 10 min late picking Jack up from school due to the ignorant cashier at Old Navy. I was trying to use my Super Cash and it took 25 min and a call to the store manager to fix the situation, which ended up being me returning everything With the manager and putting it on hold for later. 

First of all, he couldn't explain the policy(spend 25, get 10 off; spend 50, get 20 off, etc) to me and/or offer an explanation why I wasn't getting my whole discount.  Then he was trying to tell me that $3.33 + $3.34 + $3.33 was my total  discount......$30 and that I would see it when I checked out, which I did and it wasn't the whole discount. He also told me that it was including the in-store sale prices  but obviously couldn't add(3+3+3 does not equal 30) or doesn't comprehend the whole Super Cash redemption. I've worked retail, in many different kind of stores and I was trying to be patient but the time was ticking by and I was starting to sweat. Serves me right for trying to shop a little with only one kid in tow. Now I have to go back with both kids. And I looked like a crazed sweaty mess picking Jack up. 

But we got our pics from my cousin who did our fall family photos. And they are cute. I'll try to post a few later.

I'm eating ALL of the candy. Side note: I was able to get into my "fat jeans" and actually button them. The downside is that I can't breathe and my muffin top is out of control. I'm still considering this to be a victory.

@jenndub‌ Loose, flowy tops FTW! That way, you can feel good for buttoning up your jeans and still hide the muffin top! I did that for awhile after Q was born!!

@MelsaX‌ I can commiserate with the difficultly in decision making. We had that exact conversation on Saturday night. We both think the other is picky and it takes us 20 mins to decide and that's After thinking about it all day! I'm sorry about your dog, I'm sure that's so hard for both of you.

I generally like that my husband doesn't have a lot of strong opinions and lets me pick most everything. However, I am ready to redo James' room and I showed him the bed I want to get and he said he didn't like it  I'm having the hardest time figuring out the direction I want to go for his room so I was bummed that my top pick was vetoed.

I love/hate that I am the decision maker. I love that everything is the way I want it, but sometimes I would like the responsibility to be on someone else.

My H does this...we are on different planets when it comes to decorating a house.  I don't get why he cares so much about decorating.  We go around and around about house things and then nothing ever gets done.  Last weekend, he showed me some choices he liked about outside lights for in front of the garage and doorstep. We agreed on some. He ran out to get them before we could change our minds.  I was like, stop hurrying, I could care less about the outside of the house, let me pick out a decorative wall hanging for goodness sake.

@kelbel527‌ have you heard of the 3 day refresh? I haven't done it yet because I'm nursing, but I intend to do it whenever Camden weans (probably this summer). I do know some other people who have tried it and get great results and aren't starving the whole time because you still eat some actual food. Shoot me a PM if you want more information on it!

Nola was sick this weekend and missed Halloween at school. I was so sad for her. I know she really didn't realize it, but I still hate that she missed out. We still did a little bit of TOTing and she had a blast.

I also got zero pictures of either kid in their costume. Thankfully MIL and DH did.
