Austin peeps

so, should I spend spring break in Austin? We were going to go to Portland, OR again, but with DS the flight is just too long and for the price we might as well fly to Europe!
There is a layover to get to Austin too, but only 5 hours ish of air travel, so not too bad.
Any suggestions as to neighborhoods to stay in?
Must sees?
