yes. it's been a lifesaver for me. I'm finally ready to go back to work after two weeks in bed with mind-numbing nausea. It's safe up to a pretty high dosage (I now take 1 tablet unisom + B6 at night, 1 tablet unisom + B6 in the morning, and .5 tablet unisom + B6 in the afternoon); it's been studied up to 120 mg of doxylamine (unisom) per day with no increased fetal risk or adverse events.

May have to look into this. My OB gave me some samples of Diclegis and they worked so wonderfully... I went to the pharmacy to put in the prescription and my insurance company is giving me a REALLY hard time of covering the cost so I've been without since last Wednesday. This weekend was miserable.
kristine!

How in the world do you function with that much Unisom? I mean, I 100% support you finding the combo that works for you, but I am dead to the world with a half pill in the day. I wouldn't be able to even open my eyes if I took that much lol
ETA and my nausea is pretty terrible too. I totally empathize with you on the mind numbing nausea.

THIS! It's helping with the nausea (at least I'm a bit functional and can make it to work.). I'm taking 25 mg of B6 morning, afternoon, & evening, but I am only taking half a unison (so 12.5 mg) at night and it knocks me out COLD. As in I feel like I have a hangover in the morning. I don't think I could drive to work if I took it during the day. I'm going to try taking 1/4 unison tonight and see if that works for the nausea. But half a pill puts me right to sleep.
Although, tired and passing out is certainly better than hugging the toilet. :-( I'm so ready to be past this part.
What does anyone think about taking unisom at night, and Zofran during the day? The unisom was doing nothing for me throughout the day, so my doc gave me Zofran. I slept TERRIBLY with the Zofran because I was still soooo nauseous. But that next day I kept up with it, despite still feeling really bad, I was able to eat more than I had in WEEKS. But come night time, again, no sleeping because I still felt so bad.
Would taking unisom/b6 at night and Zofran for the day be ok? I realize not asking doctors, but I wanted your thoughts because I know a lot of us have been playing around with stuff trying to figure out what works best for each of us.
Also apologies to @juliep91080 for piggybacking on your post. I thought this question might apply to others and thought it might get lost in the symptoms thread. Hope that is ok!
