NCDR ON leaking problem

So I leak breast milk. Like a lot. All. Day. Long. It's annoying, but I just change my pads a lot and go on my way. The problem is at night I don't know what to do. I have several pair of reusable breastpads from a variety of brands and I soak through them in no time. I have tried disposables but those are worse than the washables. I remember someone mentioning they used a prefold (ovenrack maybe?) so I've tried that a few times and I'm still soaking through it. The thing that has worked best is one of my long pp mama cloth pads because it has pul on the back, but even still I'm waking up to a soaked bra and tshirt. Plus the baby sleeps right up against me so he's soaked too.
Any other suggestions on things to try?

  • I have a similar problem. I would totally buy that bra. Not to mention there are absolutely no comfy nursing tanks or sleep bras that fit my ginormous boobs.

I could not find any reusable pads that worked for overnight. I ended up using the Avent disposable overnight pads. They hold a TON. I would still have to change them once or twice overnight when I woke up to nurse but very rarely would I wake up wet.

Just over the last few weeks I can get away with not changing it, or using a Bamboobies overnight pad. But maybe thats because R has been nursing nonstop overnight.....

Could you use a milky catcher thing at night? I don't know how they work because the most I've ever leaked was like 3 tbs MOTN a month PP (the only time I leak now is if I accidentally sleep on my side during the last hour of the night and my biceps juice a tsp from my porn star milk jugs). ETA: somehow that last sentence sounded really wrong
"milk-savers" they are called. This was my first thought, but I kind of doubt they would work at night, especially if you move a lot.

  • The milk saver is amazing for daytime use (just don't lean forward!) But I don't see then working well overnight. Where's that ON pump you thought of Maple?? SAK can be the beta tester!

  • Can you fold a receiving blanket and tuck it inside a tank top?  Not the most comfortable, but it would probably soak up most of it.

It negates all the clothes and sheets saved from the CDs! Oh wait, CDs probably just make her baby sweaty. Are you sure your baby isn't just really sweaty from the CDs? Maybe you're not leaking at all.

I used them during the day time. They were fabulous bc I leaked 2-3 oz while DD nursed. They're a bit bulky so I only used them while she was nursing. I have no idea how they would work at night/laying down. There's no top so if you lean forward milk pours everywhere.

But during the day, they are wonderful!

  • I was a super leaker and did a towel under me with a prefold stuffed tank too. I switched it out whenever I woke up, and kept a stack by the bed.

  • What about wool nursing pads?  I have seen the LANACare ones at Nickis.  The XL ones are 9 inches in circumference.  That's a lot of wool coverage!
  • SAK, I have a milkies milk saver that I'm done using if you want to try it. Hubby ran it through the dishwasher once or twice, so it's a little discolored, but still totally clean and usable. Let me know if you want it .
