June 2015 Moms

This is a goodbye... thank you for your words.

Had to run to the ER last night and got the worst news...
This is my second loss in five months and hit pretty hard...
I feel a complete failure...completely broken inside...

At least that happened before my trip to see my family in Brazil it would have been way way worse if it happened during the 10 hours flight.

Now, I noticed that, like the last time, I am having allergy reaction.
My eyes are puffy and my body is all itchy.
Did anybody ever had a reaction like that?

ETA, can't think straight to write correctly.

UPDATE:

I would like to thank you all for the kind words. It honestly helped a lot and I feel much better now...
The allergy is now gone and I do think it was something hormonal doctors don't know either since they did not give anything on my visit to the ER.

Thanks again and
Hope you guys have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Happy Holidays!

  • I'm so very very sorry for your loss!
About the itching and allergy-like symptoms, that can be a result of anxiety. You may have stress hives. The body comes up with strange ways to manifest the incredible amount of emotions you must be feeling.
My heart goes out to you. <3

  • @chrain they did not give anything this time... Luckily I was not in much pain so Aleve made me feel better... The allergy started today so I had a benadryl. It is better now, the puffiness is going away. I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow so I am going to ask her about that. it is just really weird.

I think @inzu could be right too It would not be the first time I would have some sort physical reaction after going through a stressful event. Thank you for bringing that up.

Thank you all for the kind words. I know I will be ok...
I just wish I did not have to go to Brazil this week...
I am ready to hug my mom and have her support but I am not looking forward to all those nosy relatives and friends asking me when I am going to have a baby. ( nobody knew about this baby but my parents and my husband...)
  • I am so very sorry for your loss. You are absolutely not a failure. Sending you prayers and a hug <3

Did they give you any pain meds in the hospital, morphine maybe? That commonly causes a reaction like you're describing.

  • I am so, so sorry.
  • I am so sorry that you're going through this :(

After my miscarriage, I constantly broke out in hives and was itchy/puffy all over.  They ran a bunch of tests (my OB and an allergist) and basically they didn't find anything, so they just said it was a hormonal reaction.  I had to take Benadryl for weeks until they finally stopped.
  • I'm so so sorry for your loss. Please don't feel like a failure--the losses aren't your fault and you did nothing to cause or deserve them. I hope your trip can be a healing time for you and I wish you the best of luck for a future successful pregnancy.

  • I'm so sorry. Hopefully done time with your family will help you heal. Big hugs to you.
After my miscarriage I broke out in terrible hives. It happened on and off for weeks. The doctor said it was probably a mix between nerves and hormones. You'll get through this...

  • I am so very sorry for your loss. I understand feeling like it is your fault. I have been there twice in 6 months. The biggest thing you need to do right now is to realize that it isn't your fault. It just happens sometimes and it sucks big time. Ask your doctor for some bloodwork to be done and discuss a plan. Again, I'm so sorry and please feel free to PM me if you would like to chat.
