Have any of you ladies have a medically induced miscarraige? I was just wondering how long you bleed afterwards? Just experienced my first m/c and wasn't as awful with pain as I thought it would be. I'm just curious.
I had a Miso miscarriage. I was almost 11 weeks and the fetus measured just under 7 weeks. I bled for 12 days, and it was the worst pain I've ever had in my life. Unfortunately, the pain didn't just go away either, and I ended up having to get some heavy painkillers just to get through my daily life until the bleeding stopped.

The only thing that I keep thinking about , it was an empty sac, so there was no baby. Yes I was talking about being induced by drugs. I read some awful stories about the pain that comes with it. I don't have any more pain. I just want the healing process to begin. And to start trying again.
I think this probably depends on how far along you were (which it sounds like was pretty early?). I had Cytotec vaginally to deliver my baby at 19 weeks, but I was in the hospital and had an epidural during the actual delivery. After it was over (and epidural removed), I have continued to bleed but only very mild cramping early on after the epidural was out.
I took cytotec to induce one of my losses. Unfortunately, it didn't work well enough to clear everything and I still needed a D&C. I bled off and on for 2 weeks. Most of the pain didn't come until about 3 days after I took the initial dose. The pain came from my cervix opening while my body was passing most of the pregnancy

I just did 2 rounds of miso vaginally this week, to complete a miscarriage (around 7 weeks, but just an empty sac on ultrasound). I did start bleeding a day ahead of the miso, so my body was starting the process on it's own. I had very little pain, just some mild cramping, which surprised the docs, but an ultrasound on Friday confirmed everything was completing like it should. I have a little light bleeding and spotting today, so in total I bled for just over a week.
I'm so sorry for your loss, and hope you heal quickly.
I took miso orally. I had extreme pain for about 5 hours until I passed the sac. I was almost 12 weeks. I spotted on and off for 6 days and it was 6 weeks before I got my first af.
I believe that I might have a problem with my cervix opening enough, which would have caused the pain for me. I have a lot of pain during AF when I'm passing clots as well. I was literally ready for MH to take me to the hospital for a morphine drip though about a half an hour before I passed the sac

I took cytotec when the baby measured six weeks. It was awful. I had heavy bleeding for probably six days and spotted up to 20 days. I'm just now getting back to normal. I still haven't seen my hcg hit zero... And I'm concerned I may still have tissue left. In retrospect I probably would choose the d&c. So sorry for your loss
I'm new to this board and haven't intro'd yet but I just wanted to jump in here. I had a missed miscarriage in October, I was just coming up on 11 weeks when I took miso orally, the fetus had stopped growing at 7 weeks. The process was not as painful as I expected, it took 6 days for me to finally pass everything though. Three days in a row I felt fine during the day but would wake up at around midnight with contractions and heavy bleeding, finally after he third night of that I passed the fetus.
It's now been 16 days since I started the medication and I'm spotting off and on. I have pain in ovaries which I will have to ask my obgyn about when I see him.

I had a missed miscarriage at 8w1d, baby measuring 6 weeks. I took miso/Cytotec which worked but landed me in the ER. I posted my story on experiences on the miscarriage board if you want the details but I had significant bleeding, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea for one day. Got hypotensive/shocky, passed out, spent the day in the hospital. BUT, after that, I only had light bleeding for about four days after and none since. Had an ultrasound that confirmed everything was clear but beta only went to zero this past Monday 13 days after.
