DS completely missed Halloween TOTing yesterday because he fell asleep at 4:30 and never woke back up. I'm so sad he missed it, but also wondering how long you let a 2 yr old sleep for? 15 hrs and going strong
We sucked it up and went trick or treating last night despite it being a rain/snow mix and cold. She loved it so it was worth it.
We are going to the local radio stations trunk or treat this afternoon. Then grocery shop and clean. If so gets home from work at a decent time we will go to his brother's house for a Halloween party.
Had a great Halloween yesterday. Ds loved his party at daycare, trick or treating for the first time, and then a party here. He slept like crap though. Oh well. He is up and happy now, in the tub getting ready to go to a nature thing at the aquarium. I need to get us moving.
Oh, I should aw my cute kid you say? Well don't mind if I do!
Poor little dude feel out of the toddler bed at about 3am. Hes fine but I was up with him for about an hour before he feel back asleep. Then the baby woke up about 2 seconds after MH left for work (about 5am) & before I could get her back down he feel out of the bed again. Cue more crying, enough this time to wake up DS.
They've been eatting cheeto puffs since about 5:45am cause thats the only thing that stops him from crying.
Their watching The Little Mermaid while I set up my IV coffee drip.....
Reese slept in til 8:15, then promptly asked if it was Halloween again and that she wanted candy for breakfast.
Me on the other hand? Had the worst dream EVER. I dreamt that I had pink eye---who the fuck dreams that! Now my eyes are all twitchy and I keep on checking them in the mirror.
DH is working his regular job this morning and gas a catering gig tonight so I'm solo all day. A got up at 4 so I've been up since and I'm heading off to the gym soon. It will be the only break I get today.

Its daylight now which seems to have changed his whole attitude (I hoped it might). Now hes sucked into the wonder of new & different toys. Because hes being raised by his grandparents & doesn't do DC yet hes rarely around other kids, so FX its all fun & games from here on out!
We have a Halloween party to go to at my BILs tonight. I hate dressing up, so I'm putting the baby in the Moby wrap & calling myself a kangaroo. #longhairdontcare

I bought this to wear because I didn't know what to wear.
DS and I are up while DH sleeps in. He's finishing up breakfast, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I drink coffee. Its supposed to pour rain all weekend, so I may try to...no, make that WILL squeeze in a workout, and then shower and take him to the indoor kid play place. If I dont get him out of the house for at least an hour or so, he'll drive us nuts.
DS is watching some Nat Geo kids show about odd animal couples. This one is about a dog and a cheetah that are BFF's. Except DS is mad because he believes it's not factually accurate. He keeps yelling, "IT'S NOT A CHEETAH, IT'S A JAGUAR!!!!!"
I'm sure he's better able to identify animals than the zookeepers in charge of said dog and cheetah...
DS is 1DAF
"I realize I say the word fuck a lot, and I'd like to apologize but I don't give a shit." -Lewis Black
DS and I are watching MMCH and DH took the dogs to the vet. One has lost 15 lbs so I'm anxious something is terribly wrong with her...
It's rainy and cold, and DS keeps asking if it's still Halloween. I keep trying to explain that Thanksgiving is next and what that means but he doesn't seem too excited about it.
I hope all is ok with your pups. Keep us posted.
This gal is super excited for thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm not a Halloween person....bring on the turkey!!
I was boxing up toys to get rid of/donate and of course now those are the only ones DS wants to play with.
I really need to do this soon...I should probably do it today. Then, I'm sure he'll want to play with the old stuff I clean out, which will keep him occupied. I'd say that's a win-win.
DD was up five times overnight. What the hell, baby. Sleep is good!
When I came downstairs wil her I nearly had heart failure because I couldn't find one of the frogs. I was sure he'd escaped or was dead and trapped somewhere. I was searching all the rocks in the tank for several minutes and imagining DS's broken heart when I caught sight of a pair of eyes inside the filter.
I messaged the old owner and she said they hide in there sometimes. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW.
Reese right now is pretending to fix her balance bike. It is a lazy, rainy Saturday while DH is at work. He gets home around three and we MAY be visiting friends about an hour away. Depends on how he feels and how Reese is.
Not sure if this is a blessing or a curse, but our kids are both snuggly sleepers. Squeaker lately won't sleep unless she is in our bed, despite crib naps. I don't want to cosleep, but need sleep.
Hubby has energy and motivation today. I have none. He wants to do stuff as a family though. Crap.
Our Halloween was successful ... This year was the first time J did REAL trick or treating and he loved it. Now he's up watching Mickey and playing with his Lightning McQueen and Mater
I'm so sad. I can not find my pumpkin sleeper anywhere. I have a picture of all my kids in it on their 1st halloween except the baby. We've moved since I last used it & I know I kept it, but God only knows where I stuck it when we were unpacking.
I don't care that it wasn't taken on halloween but I must find that sleeper!! I gotta get my picture!

Just curious.
This gets easier right?
ETA Please to ignore how badly my door needs a coat of paint.

Anyway... Yet again another picture where he's making a silly face
Will probably also go to get my new car stereo installed today
