Hello again, I intro'd here a while ago and got some good advice as far as proceeding directly to IUI versus trying Clomid + TI as we have no MFI. I felt like we should try Clomid + TI first and pushed my RE that way and it worked after 2 cycles (so I didn't stay long)... except it didn't as I had a MMC at 8w1d. I'm still waiting out a cycle on the bench, but now am game for however my RE wants to proceed (which sounds like Clomid + trigger + IUI). I have a follow-up on 11/21 to make plans for timing the next cycle after this month or so on the bench is up. So... maybe cycling in December. Hopefully.
I've mainly been on the MC/TTCAL board but was hoping to intro here too to find ladies with similar plans/paths and am starting to be emotionally ready to talk TTC again.
Briefly about us. MH and I are both 32. Diagnosis is unexplained infertility. Sadly, we both seem to be (relatively) normal. We have been together for the last 10 years, married the last 4.5 and TTC for the last two. TTC in a more educated fashion (temping, OPKs) since 5/2013. Tried 2 cycles of (monitored) Clomid + TI.
He's my first love, we both have very busy careers and recently moved across the country (why I now have a new RE). I'm a big runner, love music, my two golden retrievers, traveling, anything outdoors (why does this sound like a personal ad?!) and Lucky Charms (which I've been eating an unfortunate amount of lately. Must. Get. Back. On. Track.).

Hello thanks for posting. I am sorry to hear your difficult loss. I'm glad you're ere with us. The lucky charms bit made me laugh. And I love seeing these fluffy dogs! I have 2 cats as I live in NYC.
being normal is a good thing right? Maybe there's something subtle going on that a functional medicine doctor can find? I have a theory based on my personal experience that unexplained can be explained if digging deeper with other "alternatives" like chiropractor acupuncture and other blood testing.
My chiro found thru my blood test that I have inflammation and low hormones that the adrenal gland is overworked and very low vitamin D. I'm now on a regimen of drops in my tongue for uplifting hormones (DHEA and prognenalone) and my energy is getting better for one. I'm hoping it works. Just putting it out there to all unexplained to maybe check out a good functional medicine person because regular Drs can't look at subtle picture.
I have a blocked tube so aren't unexplained but I have been unexplained other things where Drs were like wtf.
Anyway I just totally blew up your intro post with my morning thoughts. Hope maybe you find it helpful. I wish you the best and welcome.
TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes. Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube. If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help. Doubts I have endometriosis. My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
Welcome! I'm so sorry that you have had to come back, but I know where you're coming from. I recently had to come back as I had a MMC and D&C at 7 weeks. It was extremely emotionally painful and draining and I honestly thought I would never recover, but like you I am starting to get to the point where I am emotionally ready to move forward with ttc. It feels good to start feeling more normal and ready again doesn't it?!
I also love the outdoors and just overall fitness! I'm starting (to my shocking surprise) starting to enjoy running each weekend now that the weather is cooling off. I have a German Shepherd, but I do love Golden's since I grew up with one!
@williegsocks I agree for about two weeks after the loss I just couldn't see how I could ever feel ok or move forward then slowly things got better and I'm emotionally getting ready to try this again. Scared shitless about all the things that could go wrong, but wanting to try. I used to just think if I could just get pregnant it would all be ok but that optimism is now gone.
On a happier note, I love running on the weekends too! Especially now that it has turned Fall... The dogs are thrilled that they're not panting to death after runs. German shephards are such good dogs!
@Radiantly I agree, it's hard to imaging that unexplained truly means unexplained. I have been looking into acupuncture and have heard promising things from several people. I am also trying to really make healthy choices as well. I know that's not the issue but I figure it can't hurt.
