So I feel like I am whining, but I want to share my Dr. experience.
I went in for my first ultrasound at 8 1/2 weeks and found out it is twins..
The first and basically ONLY thing the OB said to me was "Gonna be a loooong pregnancy." Well no shit, Sherlock. I thought it was going to be a walk in the park. Then, when I asked him about safe depression meds because I had stopped mine (I have major depressive disorder and have been off and on meds for many years) He was just like "Yeah.. bad back, bad foot, and pregnant with twins you're gonna be depressed." Not because, ya know, I have a chemical imbalance in my brain or anything, but because I am having twins and am disabled! I was fuming by the end of the appointment. Started looking for a new OB the day after the visit.
Anyone else have issues with doctors who just don't seem to care, or maybe just don't know how to talk to pregnant women? You would think they would, though, seeing as how THEIR JOB is dealing with them...
