I run during the week in the dark around 5:30am with a running friend and the amount of cars who drive like they are giving us a big "fuck you, get out of my way" is ridiculous. We wear neon lights and flash our phones at them as they approach stop signs and some of them still are just like "nope, I'm doing a rolling stop and you can wait." I guess I could assume they still don't see us but wtf?!
Edit: This doesn't really qualify as an opinion...oops. I guess my opinion is some people are assholes!

I also don't like Nutella. Like, it's good but tins not the most amazing thing ever made!
...I'll go sit in the corner now
I'm in the corner with you. I can eat it, but the flavor isn't my favorite. I first had it in college so maybe it's just that I didn't grow up with it.
I found some white chocolate peanut butter at the store recently, and I've been loving the shit out of that thing. It tastes similar to normal pb, but really rich and just a little chocolately. Yummmm
I eat Nutella on Waffles, pancakes, toast, crackers, a spoon. I don't understand how someone could NOT like it! It makes my heart hurt
My go-to breakfast during my last pregnancy (and probably a good reason I gained close to 60 lbs) was a plain bagel with nutella. SO GOOD.
That sounds AMAZING!!!!! I"m so hungry now. Oh, and I usually add a little Peanut Butter to my Nutella too. I feel like I can't get enough of it.
I wonder if anyone make Nutella filled Doughnuts, if not, they should!!!

I had a Nutella crepe at the Farmer's market last month. It wasn't the most ladylike thing to eat cause it was extremely messy, but oh so good.....

Ooo nutella, they sell them with the little cookies in like to go cups, tried it for the first time the other day (not nutella but the to go cup of it) legit licking my fingers and under my nails trying to get it all out! OMG AMAZING
after participating in a "trunk or treat" church event last night, my possibly UO is that actual door-to-door trick or treating is waaaaay better and more fun and I think kids should at least get the chance to experience it before it disappears altogether. (where I live, hardly anyone trick or treats anymore since all the churches throw fall carnivals and trunk or treats. it's sad- I'm a halloween purist!)
also, Nutella rules.
trying for #1 since May 2012... we're adopting!bringing home baby boy in january 2015!

I understand where you are coming from, but I am actually sad our area churches don't have Halloween festivals anymore. There used to be many and my church had a great one. Games, candy, cakes, prizes, free hot dogs and chili, pony rides, inflatable thingies, meet and greets; but once the recession hit, they stopped. I have searched around and there aren't any churches doing it anymore. I kinda makes me sad because we used to volunteer at my church's festival and I would always think " I can't wait to bring our future kids here one day." Well wouldn't you know that the last one I volunteered for was when I was 8 months pregnant with DD, then the recession hit and I haven't seen one since.

It's all that sushi messing with her buds!
haha!
I wish sushi were in my mouth messing with my buds.
I just think it's..... meh. It's chocolate. Hazelnuts. And I love chocolate. But I find it weird to spread it all over things. I prefer it in the form of a bar. Like candy.

A coworker brought in donuts for breakfast - score!
My UO is that I prefer to not have food coloring in icing. I guess I'm all about the taste, and even if the food coloring is not harmful, I feel "take it or leave it" but more on the side of "leave it." But I made an exception for this donut.

I def agree that door-to-door is better than the "trunk or treat" - but for our little guy, the shorter distance between cars vs houses worked out great for us & his short attention span! Plus, my friend's parents were giving out candy & totally got into it - they were Carl & Ellie from Up!! So adorable!!!!
I think the trunk or treat is perfect for the really little kiddos, but yeah, once they get a little bigger, you totally need to do the traditional door-to-door stuff!
Myles was so pumped about the baby . . . until he figured out he'd have to share all his toys!!! >
Halloween UO - I hate when parents dress their kids (especially really young ones) up in costumes of their (parent's not child's) favorite movie characters. I think it's completely wrong to see a 4-year old dressed as Holly Golightly or worse - Tippi Hedren from The Birds.
If a particular movie/show isn't appropriate for a 4-year old, I don't think a character costume from that movie/show is, either! (that includes the super adorable pic of the 2 little boys dressed up as Wayne & Garth from Wayne's World.) Sorry - but they have no frame of reference for their costume & I think that takes away from the fun of Halloween for them.
And I know that means I'm encouraging the flood of Elsa costumes out there, but at least the kids know who Elsa is!!!

oops! forgot. Didn't really mean it like that. What I really meant was....at the end of eating this crepe, it looked like I had taken a dirty diaper (that my DH just changed, and by the way, he picked out the diaper bag) and smeared it all over my face, hands and shirt. But, was still so, so delicious.
I'm not a huge Nutella fan but I love warm pastries made with it.
My UO: I truly dislike Frozen.
I don't see what the biiig deal was. It was so.. predictable.
Yes, Let it Go was a wonderful song, the animation was beautiful, but everything was just.. Blah. So much blah.
Nothing hardly made sense, things were poorly explained/thrown out there, the pacing was shit, and.. I really, really don't like Anna. She was annoying and ditzy, and maybe that's what she was supposed to be, pure innocence, but I mean come on. Common sense exists, you have instincts for a reason. Those come -naturally-.
I dunno. Frozen wasn't anything to write home about. I don't see what everyone got so freaking hyped over it. But I am glad they chose the route of 'An Act of Love CAN mean something other than romantic love'

OMG, thanks for that imagery.
This is not a UO but more of a FFTC or random - whenever I change DS' poopy diaper, he always says, "I wanna see poop!" and I hold the diaper up so he can see it. So weird. I really hope potty training happens easily and soon.

I was just coming on to post this UO I've been holding on to all week: I think Trunk or Treat is ruining Halloween. You go door to door. You earn your candy. If you've got little ones, you walk with them to a few houses and then call it a night. Growing up, the dads would grab a few beers and tail us as we went door to door...as we got older, we were allowed to go out on our own. We were safe. We got tons of exercise. We earned our loot. It was great in high school too as I lived across the street from my kindergarten teacher and her whole class would trick or treat at our house...so precious! This Trunk or Treat business is for the birds.
Also, Nutella freakin' rules! I used to not be such a fan but oh man...we can hardly keep it in the house now because it disappears so quick.
If you want to talk about something totally disgusting, let's talk about cilantro. That stuff is vile.

Cilantro tastes like dish soap
LOVE cilantro. DH hates it. I once had a pesto made out of cilantro - it was fantastic!
I think cilantro tastes like (or at least how I imagine it would taste) BO. It's just so vile. My mother in law kept trying to grow it this summer and her plants kept dying. Too bad, lol! I swear it wasn't me killing them (no for real, it wasn't me!).
I don't think babies should be brought trick or treating. I'm not talking about going with older siblings, I'm talking about the parents who dress up their non-walking infant and strolls them up to doors asking for candy. The baby doesn't eat it- buy your own candy if you want some.
I have to agree with you on this. DS is 9 month old and we are not taking him trick-or-treating. The only reason we are dressing him up is for pictures.
Also Nutella is overrated. I don't hate it but peanut butter is wayyyy better.
@saiven I used to love like, the classic Disney movies. Lion King, Pocahontas, etc etc and yeah, some of the Disney/Pixar films have been cute lately, too, it's just seeming to me that they're not as.. impactful, as they used to be. At least, that's what I feel like

Cilantro is only good in salsa
Confession: I've never seen Frozen!
I've never seen Frozen either. And that is on purpose!

Agree 100%. We technically took DS out last year, but it was just over to our neighbors' houses to show off the costume & get a few pics with their kids. They tried to give him candy, but we said no thanks, because it would have been for us & we didn't need it!

I am not a huge fan of trick or treating but mostly because it seems like the weather is always super crappy, cold and rainy here on Halloween.
