Maternity support belts..

Any recommendations?

I specifically have low back/hip pain (mostly related to a previous hip fracture, exacerbated by a growing little one) and rib pain, because he has decided he likes to stretch out lol

Ditto. Helps with the "bottoming out" feeling I get otherwise.

  • I got one prescribed by my Dr last pregnancy. I worked a physical demanding job so I needed one. Maybe your insurance will cover one?

  • Yes I'm hoping my insurance will cover one for me! I currently only have state insurance but BCBS comes into effect in December and it should have a lot better coverage! I'd like to shop around and look into recommendations before I get a prescription or order written !

I just bought a Babies R Us brand one here:  https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10813242&cp=&parentPage=search

The top strap doesn't seem to do much for me but the belt itself helped my back pain yesterday.

This is the one I have and I like it.

  • I got mine at a medical supply store and I find it helps with my muscle pain. It cost around $100. I called my insurance before I bought it to make sure they covered it. Thankfully it was completely covered.

How do you get your insurance to cover it?
My Dr. Actually suggested I use one for work since I was lifting allot.

I have tricare (military medical benefits) so she just wrote up a prescription for one, and the nurse went to the pharmacy and got one for me.

It's something you'd have to talk to your Dr. About.
