Extremely High E2 Level OHSS Q

Hi Ladies. I ran a search through our IF board but only seem to find women who had mild OHSS or were just concerned that it would occur. Yesterday my E2 level was over 5,000 and I triggered with 10,000 HCG last night. I have never seen anyone with E2 this high. I know the normal Gatorade and high protein diet can help... anything else that you all can think of? Anyone have an E2 level this high before? I'm doing a freeze all cycle. TIA!

@MeatandBandP‌ I've heard of taking cabergoline or letrozole. But when I mentioned these to my re he wasn't interested in putting me on them. I guess he isn't thrilled with the studies that they have been through.

Yes, I did have high E2. Mine was over 4500 the morning I did the trigger. They debated switching me to a Lupron trigger, but finally we just decided to go with the Novarel hcg. The morning after the trigger it was over 6000. I started cabergoline the day of our ER and was very careful about diet - I ate a lot of protein and I drank as much gatorade and coconut water as possible. I had no issues with the cabergoline or OHSS even though I went ahead with the fresh transfer and it was successful. I did have giant cystic ovaries for a few months though.

I also had super high e2 (7000). I had some vegetable cocktail juice after ER and no OHSS

@kaly75‌ @emmuffy‌ thank you so much ladies. My re had me seriously scared when he said he's never had an E2 level that high. I'm like uh....great!!! FML! You all have put my fears to rest.

No, I'm sorry I don't remember. I think it was just one pill a day and I took it for 10 days, but I don't remember the value of each pill. As far as I know, it was just the standard dosage that doctors prescribe.

I haven't taken it yet because I haven't even started my cycle yet, but my doctor ordered some for me with my other meds and it says 0.5mg/day.

I actually take it already for elevated prolactin. The standard starting dose for that is 0.25mg twice a week, just for comparison.

I had an E2 over 6000 at ER for IVF # 1 and did not get OHSS.  I drank a lot of gatorade and took it easy.  Fx for you!
