Well here goes my intro...

I've been on the site for some time now and have read many discussions but never posted anything.....until now.

My DH(43) and myself(28) have been TTC for 18 months now with no luck. We went to an RE a couple of months ago to see what some of our options were. I had to wait a month for my cycle to come around again to have an US and bloodwork done. From the US my doctor told me I had PCOS and my left ovary was bigger than the right. After having left that appointment, I was put on Metformin. *Diabetes is common on my dad's side of the family* I'm up to taking 3 tabs a day so far. Next week I'll be up to the full dose of 4 tabs. My DH's SA came back with a morphology issue, so he's currently taking vitamins to help with that. I go in this Friday for my first US before starting Clomid. Not sure about having to give myself an injection, but I'll suck it up and do it if I'm able to have a baby of my own. :)  Hoping this helps us out some. Thankfully my DH's insurance covers up to a certain amount of infertility treatments, etc. 

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone that took the time to read this. Just having typed this out, since nobody in our families knows we're going to an RE is pretty mind numbing. Having recently moved to a new state, and not having friends, it's nice to just type out thoughts and things with others who have the same issues as I do.

    Welcome! I hope your stay here is short. I am a fellow PCOS'er myself and know how frustrating that is. Like PP said, Clomid is not an injectable. Also, an HSG is key before doing any treatment, if you haven't already gotten one. I wish you luck with all of this.

    9/12-4/13-6 rounds of 50 mg Clomid- no sucess 
    6/13- new doc
    7/13-4/14- 6 more rounds of Clomid. 50 mg and then stepped up to 100mg- no success 
    5/14-7/14- took break waiting for new insurance 
    7/14-new insurance= new doc- actually a RE!!!! 
    7/14-HSG and blood test good-PCOS confirmed by new doc 
    10/14 looking forward to 1st IUI w/ Menopur. Blood Test= Negative
    11/14- IUI #2     w/ Menopur- Blood Test= Negative
    1/15- IUI # 3 w/     Menopur- Blood Test= Negative
    2/15- Self Benched this cycle
    3/15/15-Suprise BFP on natural cycle!!!! EDD-11/16/15

    Welcome! I'm sorry you're here, but I'm glad you're with us. :)

    I just did one trigger shot and dealt with it by giving myself no time to get nervous or worked up...walked in the room, whipped it out of the box, swiped my belly with alcohol, danced around for it to dry, then just schwooshed the needle in! It did sting a bit as the medicine went in gradually. Afterward I felt pretty shocked but was so glad it was over and now I feel empowered for next time. :)

    Welcome.. Sorry you have to find yourself here. Hopefully your stay is short! The ladies here are wonderful and supportive!
    Married: 12/15/2012    TTC: 08/2014
    Husband: 26 SA: normal
    Me: 23 Low AMH and damaged ovaries due to chemotherapy.
    No AF or O in 3 years. HSG showed a slight T shaped uterus.

    High Risk OB 9/29- got the ok to get pregnant.
    RE Appt:  10/28/ U/S showed follicles, but also small damaged ovaries.
    B/W results CD0: all normal except low AMH at 1.3
    Cycle 1-November (TI)- Femera 2.5mg, 2mg Estradoil, and Trigger=BFN
    Cycle 2-December (TI)- Femera 2.5 mg ,4mg Estradoil, and Trigger= No O
    Cycle 3-January (TI)- Femera 5 mg, 2mg Estra    doil, and Trigger=

    Welcome and sorry you find yourself here. I don't have PCOS, but definitely understand the challenges with TTC. I hope your stay is short and sweet. It is a great board to have and know that there are other people who may understand what you are going through and know you are not alone.

    Welcome! I too have PCOS...officially diagnosed after months of testing. I second PPs about getting a HSG done. Hopefully you're stay here is short and sweet :)

    DH's SA: Normal (116.4 million sperm, 97% motility, 36% morphology) - WHO criteria

    They had said my tubes looked ok, but I will double check on Friday to make sure I don't need any further tests done before starting Clomid. Had a hiccup with insurance covering the Ovidrel*spelling?* injection, but finally got it figured out with a pre-auth.

    @kbojo24 Sorry for the late reply. Just saw your post! My DH is on CoQ10 and a Men's One A Day Multivitamin. Our RE said it'll take around 3 months for them to take effect in his system, so we shall see how his SA is when we go in for our IUI on Saturday. Hope this helps!
