Confused & beyond frustrated

So, I'm still currently benched & have been trying naturally this month. I'm on CD 18 & have not yet had a spike in BBT. I had crazy EWCM last Thurs & have had very intense twingy cramps left ovarian area since Sunday afternoon.
My question is this-has anyone ovulated without an increase in BBT? Also, these twinges are new & a little alarming. I'm almost wondering if I have a leftover cyst for my medicated cycles? (I called my RE & the nurse wasn't overly concerned) It really isn't painful, just strange.
I'm just frustrated bc I was hopeful this cycle would go smoothly & that I'd ovulate on my own. I'm starting to feel less & less hopeful that will ever be the case

During natural cycles, before I got onto Metformin, I would ovulate as early as CD 16 and as late as CD 76 and I would get EWCM at random times during my cycle. Also, sorry if this is TMI, but the discharge the day after BD can also seem like EWCM. It could be you haven't ovulated yet. Good luck.

I don't temp because I can't remember to take my damn temps in the AM.....but I feel your frustration with "natural" cycles. I'm benched too and I had INSANE CM....I wonder if it's my body recovering from 3 months of clomid or if I'm just a CM machine....shit I wish I could bottle it up and sell it to ladies that don't produce CM, but with my luck my CM is toxic to sperm and that's why I can't get preggers.....wow sorry for the rant!

Like you I had this weird feeling on my left side this month, something new....kind of like a muscle spasm, but not painful....but with my experience with infertility I don't read into ANY possible ovulation or pregnancy symptoms.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know I totally feel for you and natural cycles SUCK! I'm drinking wine right now so I'll have another drink for you! Good luck!

@Tiko99‌ I LOL'd at your CM comments. There are probably actual loonies out there that would buy someone else's CM...this could be your black market means of funding IF treatment, maybe even retirement! Now, for the marketing/advertising folks...what to label the stuff? Eeeew LOL. OP, sorry no advice, I sucked at temping so I at least understand your frustration there! GL!

If you don't get AF by around CD40, it makes sense to go in for bloodwork to make sure you haven't ovulated, and then take meds to kickstart AF. When AF comes, it might make sense to ask for a baseline ultrasound to make sure you have no residual cysts, even if you choose to do another natural cycle.

Twinges can be everything or nothing! I firmly believe that the amount of twinges we have is directly related to how carefully we are paying attention to our bodies at that moment. If it isn't painful, then it's hard to say it may be related to a cyst.

Thanks, everyone!!! I have had crazy CM too but really, I always have. I just happened to notice one day of super stretchy, very egg white-like last Thursday. I got excited thinking I'd O soon but still no bump in temp. I think I'll keep temping & see what happens. I keep hoping for that bump! I think FF has given up on me though bc it isn't even showing me any "likely to ovulate" days anymore

Stupid phone keeps booting me out! Anyhow, I'm chalking the twinges up to small follicles related to PCOS. They are just weird & new but have pretty much subsided. I'm definitely not looking into them as anything more than an annoyance. I will have a baseline US at the beginning of next cycle (heaven knows when that'll be!) to make sure there are no cysts.

I should add that I am taking 1500mg metformin every day. I was kind of hoping that beast of a med would regulate my cycles. This is my first unmedicated cycle since starting it.
