Hello ladies,
I have a rainbow baby that is almost eight months and I'm still breastfeeding.
Yesterday I got a positive test at home followed by two more last night and three more earlier today. I went to the doctor today and got a negative there. I came home and took another test wondofo and got a super faint positive.
Two weeks ago (oct. 14) I had a couple days of bleeding and super intense pain. Felt like labor actually but thought it was just my periods coming back. But the positive test yesterday would mean I O'd right after. I'm leaning more towards a miscarriage and the test caught the tail end of it.
The doctor sent me for blood work and if it comes back with any number then I go back Thursday for another draw to see which way the numbers are going. This sucks and it's hard being in limbo. Not sure if I should be happy or sad. If it is a miscarriage my husband is leaning towards being done trying. He doesn't want to risk more losses. Augh what a day.
Any one have any stories where this happened but worked out in the end? Thanks for listening just had to get this out there.
UPDATE: So my blood work came back and the hCG is at 45 eventhough the doctor claimed theirs would read at 25. I go back today for my second draw and we will see if we are doubling. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it but trying not to get too excited just yet. Thank you ladies for all the kind words and stories. Means a lot to me.
UPDATE2: My second blood draw came back at 66. That puts the doubling time at 77hours. The dr. says it's not looking good but wants to do another draw Monday. Should know more on Tuesday so let the limbo continue. Augh
Was it a urine test? Urine tests at doctor's offices are often less sensitive than the early tests we use at home, like FRER and even Wondfo. If you caught your BFP early, it's possible it's just to early for the doctor's test to detect. The blood test will tell more
Hmmmmmm since you had multiple positives at home I am leaning towards maybe the doctor's test is less sensitive. But then again you shouldn't have a positive if your period was just 2 weeks ago. Which makes me think maybe you had a MC or CP and your positive is simply remaining HCG...in any case I am sorry you are in limbo as that is the worst!
I had that happen at my OB's office. I was told that their urine tests start to pick up levels around 40. Most hpts pick up levels around 25, and some are even lower than that.
TTC since July 2012 BFP 5/22/13. Lap. to remove ectopic and dx with endo. 6/16/13

Big hugs sorry your going through this:( hopefully your just catching a positive...good luck..could the two days been implantation or you think it was just break through bleeding?
((Hugs)) I'm sorry you're in limbo. I would bet that the doctor's test was less sensitive. I hope the blood test comes back positive and continues to rise.
