Need clarification - Gender swaying - Time of intercourse

Hi all, we have a beautiful 14mo girl and are now trying for a 2nd child. We would like to try to sway it towards a boy. My wife is doing fertility treatment and taking the HCG trigger shot today! Since we know that she should be ovulating around 36 hours after the shot, should we avoid having intercourse today and do it tomorrow night so it's closer to ovulation? Tomorrow night would be 24h after shot.

Important note: We might have messed up the boy swaying already because we have intercouse 2 days ago, which would mean about 3 days from ovulation, potentially swtaying towards girl.

What would you do now? Have sex tonight, tomorrow morning or tomorrow night?

Why would you risk not getting pregnant at all or reducing your chances by choosing not to have sex incase it might be the incorrect gender. I'm sorry I never understood this. As above. I just want a baby. But good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I'd stop focusing on the "gender swaying" aspect all together.

ETA: Also, keep in mind it is the sperm that determines the sex, not when ovulation or sex occurs.

Are you doing fertility treatments because you want to for funsies?  Because I cannot imagine anyone that is having treatment by necessity actually asking this question without being sarcastic as fuck.

How are honesty, informed thinking and a desire to mother poor parenting skills?

You are risking having a baby at all in the misguided hope that not having sex as often as possible around ov will influence the sex of your baby.

No, it does have some bearing for some of us. You are using using fertility treatment for your first cycle trying for a second when there are many of us that have been trying for a very long time and then have a very long wait to even get an appointment with a RE. You are taking time away from someone who has put in the time and effort and would like a baby regardless of their sex.

My sister in law went nuts with gender swaying. She did everything she could to try to have a girl. She gave birth to a boy last month. I giggled a little.

The trouble with people that act this way, my dear... Is that they (occasionally) stumble over the truth, but quickly pick themselves up and carry on as if nothing happened.

My grandmother told me to make a boy baby you have to plant the seed deep. She has three sons and no daughters. So her advice must be totes legit. Also that conversation with my grandmother totally traumatized me. Yuck.
