My second miscarriage since June was confirmed today via ultrasound. I had a bfp on October 9th. 10 days later after dtd bleeding started. I had a couple visits with my doctor last week as well as a hospital visit and an ultrasound that was inconclusive. My HCG levels were rising but very very slowly, and bleeding and cramping was worse, much worse than my previous loss.
Today's ultrasound showed no signs of viable pregnancy. I go back to my doctor on Friday to discuss the results, they wanted to be sure it was not ectopic

I didn't take part much beyond the Ladies in Waiting check in the last time around, I will try to be a more active member this time.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this.

Make sure your doctor continues to monitor your betas. I had a very similar situation with my loss...bfp, bleeding a week later, slow rising betas, no sign of pregnancy on 2 ultrasounds, but then at 7w6d, they were finally able to see something in my tube. I had assumed I miscarried once I had the bleeding, but I'm glad we continued to monitor the situation because it could've ended up much worse.

Again, I'm sorry you're going through this.

Thank you for the advice. They did more blood work yesterday to see if they have gone down yet. Hopefully they have (so sad what you have to hope for). I plan to ask them to continue monitoring until they are at zero, or close. Last time I was under the belief that my betas were at zero 2 weeks post d&c (had been told they were "normal") only to still get a positive test 5 weeks after my d&c. Turns out my nurse's definition of normal was 134, vs the 30 000 before the d&c. :S

@BethKate2 I wanted to update you since you mentioned the similarities in our losses. Thankfully my HCG levels dropped from 1500 on Friday to 197 on Monday. So an ectopic has been ruled out. I am so thankful they were monitoring me as you had said and everything checked out.

As awful as the situation is, I'm glad to hear you were able to rule out an ectopic.
