Mid range flat iron?

Any suggestions that aren't a Chi and aren't like $10 and going to burn all my hair off?

Re: Mid range flat iron?

  • I have an Amika and love it. My hair is naturally very curly and it's able to tame it while make it look natural. The Chi used to make my hair too pin straight that it didn't look natural. I also curl my hair with the Amika if I want bigger curls than my natural hair.

  • I got a really nice one at TJ maxx. It's an Absolute Heat, and it works really well. I think it was 30 bucks.

I don't have a lot of hair, so I have been pretty happy with my $40 Vidal Sassoon for the last year or so. However, before that I ordered twice from Flat Iron Experts (sorry, lazy me, but you can Google it). They have promotions rather often (20% off $100 or similar), or free travel size iron and product (heat protection spray, etc). I think they have free shipping, too.

ETA I just bought whichever one had good ratings and was just over the qualifying price.
