Is this really happening?

Pains in the middle of the night. The pains slowly increasing in intensity. Wanting to believe that I am in false labor so much so that I convinced myself that I was in false labor. I woke up my significant other because the pain were too intense. After timing the contractions and him PHYSICALLY seeing the baby drop further down, we made the decision to go to the hospital. The walk from the car to the wheelchair was a struggle in and of itself. When I finally realized, after being checked and being told I was 7 cm dilated, I burst into tears. Waiting for my water to break, seemed like forever. Unfortunately, it never broke and the doctor had to break it. The breaking of my water didn't do much to speed up the process of my body wanting to get ready to push. It wasn't until my mom and my significant other started massaging pressure points known to help jump start labor that I felt ready to push. After 4 brief pushes my little miracle was here.
