Hi TTCAL,

I wanted to intro so that I can start to join in with this amazing group of women. I've been lurking for a little over a week and think I've got the feel for the board, if not please let me know. A little about myself: I'm 35 as is my husband. We have one son and are trying for #2. I got pregnant in early September and started bleeding in the middle of October. I was away at a work conference when I started and it sucked to be away from my family for that. I've had the miscarriage confirmed with two beta draws that dropped significantly and have one more follow-up in a month to ensure my numbers got to 0 and do a pelvic exam. I was only 7 weeks along and my midwives are optimistic about our chances when we try again. We are benched for two cycles and then will try again. I honestly can't wait to get back to TTC. I've cried and been sad about this loss and now I want to move on. I'll probably vacillate between upset and moving on a lot over the next two months, but that is where I am today. I love to travel and read and my favorite season is summer. I love it warm.

Hi, welcome and so sorry for your loss!!

I had a BFP in August and miscarried last month at 8 weeks. I am CD 37 and will start clomid when I get my period. She also said I was welcome to try on my own this month....so I'm just curious what your doc's reasoning was for benching you for two months? So many doctors seem to have a different take on this! I had a natural miscarriage and thought maybe that was the reason I wasn't asked to wait....but you had a natural also so I'm curious.

I hope your stay here is nice and short!

@McSarah1104 and @hoping&waiting12 I'm both glad to see familiar faces and so sorry that you are here with me. Lets hope that the next BMB we find ourselves on will be our permanent home. I'll be rooting hard for both of you!

@katie0919 I asked my midwife about the two cycle wait and she basically said it was to be sure that everything is back to normal with my system. It seems like maybe an excess of caution but I'm willing to follow her advice. I've also gotten pregnant twice pretty easily (second month trying both times) so maybe she is being extra cautious since I haven't had trouble with that so she doesn't see as much hurry to start right up again. I think the real answer is likely there isn't great research out there on when is best so each doctor sort of goes with what they think or what they have seen work well in the past.
