It also makes me smile that I ordered a paint sprayer yesterday. I can't wait to get it and paint my doors and cabinets. I read online that they make the project go 10x faster than painting with a brush. Eeeek! I'm going to paint all the things! @ovenrack, did you paint your door?
One more: IMMS that DS is so polite when he's mad. He yells "no thanks!" when he doesn't want to do something. Right now, he's yelling "Excuse me, no!" at his legos. It cracks me up.
I'm smiling bc Kelly's avatar is back, smiling away at me this morning
Aww...you made me blush
I really need to take a new picture, that's about 2 years old now. I still look the same, but my hair is longer and I don't wear those sunglasses anymore.
IMMS that my mom is coming tomorrow for a few days to help me with my last minute baby preparations. J and I totally get to go on our date, too, except I have no idea what we should go do.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
IMMS that my anatomy scan is this Friday and DH is going. He's only ever been to two dating ultrasounds, because he couldn't make it to the last a/s. I think he's going to be so excited to see baby actually moving. Can't wait until Halloween! I'm appropriately nervous, as well.
My daughter tried out some big girl underwear yesterday.
We had one poop accident (this might be something we need to work on still) and one pee accident (we had a meltdown).
But when we were talking to my sister on the ipad, she got up on her own, pulled everything down and went in the potty (we have one on the floor for her as well). I was so proud that she did it all on her own.
We went to daycare in a diaper today, but they will be putting her on the potty a lot more today to see if we can get a couple clean diapers.
If we can get a successful poop in on the toilet this weekend, I think we might switch to underwear next week (we'll still use diapers at nap time).
IMMS that I tried out @Mapleme's pumpkin pie recipe last night. We used a sugar pumpkin and it turned out great! It reminds me of the time my dad tried to make pie from a real pumpkin and he added red food coloring because it wasn't orange enough. It ended up pink.

Yay! Not for pink pie though. That's hilarious. In my early days of baking I made a pink velvet cake, before I knew that red food coloring doesn't make things red.
Speaking of this @mapleme -- I'm going to make your pumpkin pie as a custard to serve at our office's Thanksgiving potluck. Would you just do it in a regular pie plate? Does it cut like a pie would? I really want to try an oat and coconut butter pie crust, but I don't think I'll be able to perfect it by the 13th.

I'm not trusting these a-holes with my ramekins. I'd probably never see half of them again. I didn't think about trying a... maybe... gingersnap and coconut oil crust. Hmmmmmmmm. I wonder if there is one last lonely little box left.

What about cupcake tins? Maybe the heavy duty ones?
I finally have something to smile about... E just peed on the potty! She was in panties for 3 hours last night, and didn't have any accidents, but wouldn't pee on the potty. This morning, she was in panties, suddenly froze, peed a tiny bit in her panties, then finished on the potty. I'm so proud. (And also terrified, bc diapers are WAY easier than nasty public potties.)

Oh and it also MMS that we took P to the zoo yesterday with MH, my sister, and BIL. The weather was perfect and P had a great time pointing to all of the animals and making surprised faces.
I got to go walking with some local mamas this morning, and both of the boys did great! N even managed to stay dry the whole time despite drinking about 2/3 a full sippy of water.
IMMS that P went from hating his gnome costume to having a great time, wearing the hat and winning our church's trunk or treat costume contest. (he has a cardboard axe because I wasn't going to force the hat issue and was just going to say he was a lumberjack instead)
If he was calm by the time you got to the kitchen id go with it. M just gagged herself cuz I told her she already said night to her other mom and she needed to lie down. I seriously think she'd implode if I left the room.
It's gonna take him a few weeks to realize this is the new normal too.
I'm sorry Stringy...but I llol'd at this. Your M is extremely serious about her bedtime cuddling

Also, we leave for our trip in just over 2 weeks and I can't wait!

@Mapleme M was doing that the other day, it was so cute and funny
