Another failed IVF, options?

I just got my period after a 5th failed IVF (this was my 2nd fresh cycle). The irony is always that they want you to still take a test but obviously it was negative. I'm in a tricky situation because I'm going to New York (I live in Sweden) from January onwards and might need to switch to treatment there (if I can afford it). I have one frozen egg, so what should I do with the remaining cycle in December? I could get an FET with just one blastocyst or I could go for another ER cycle and get two-three transferred. I'm worried about starting all over in New York and the prices there which seem crazy.

Louise, I am not knowledgable enough to offer advice. I just want to say that I'm sorry and I hope you find the right path forward.

My thoughts would be that if you can afford it (and deal with it mentally and physically) I would consider doing another fresh cycle now.  This way you can give yourself more options as you proceed in the future.  There is no right or wrong answer here, though.

I can't really give you advice except to say that we're half-time US citizens and half-time Euro citizens and we did almost decide to send me back to Europe for our IVF cycle because the pricing here (in the US) was so nutso. We ended up deciding it was worth the money to not have to sit on the sidelines or put me into a more stressful situation. So I guess I am giving you advice If you can afford $15-$20k USD, then it's probably worth it to not be waiting it out for a long chunk of time. But if your numbers are good or you think you can wait, it honestly is just a ton of money more than what you would be paying back in Europe, and not with better success rates.

Thanks everyone for the support. I'm talking to the clinic tomorrow to see if they have any advice. I have already prepaid for another fresh cycle so I'm leaning towards that. Still bummed out today though :-(

In this case, since you have already paid for it, I would do another fresh cycle.  In essence it freezes time for your embies.

Sorry about the BFN, though.
