Brief Intro

Hello There,

I've been posting on TTC but I think it is time to start investigating this board as I'm about to start Cycle #14.
My husband and I are both 33. We've been married for 10 years. We hit the one year mark of seriously TTC in September.
I have started the IF work-up but I still need to complete the procedural things: HSG and saline sonohysterogram.
I have a lot of symptoms of endometriosis but I've not yet had an ex-lap to prove the diagnosis.

I've heard nice things about the board. Thanks for having me.

TTC since Sept. 2013
09/14: New anterior 3cm Fibroid on U/S, no change in size 11/14
10/14: SA normal
12/14: next RE appointment - cancelled due to BFP

Hi and welcome! Good luck with everything! Also, I just got officially diagnosed with endo in August after years of asking various doctors about the possibility of having it. It took finding a new RE for me to be taken seriously. I'm not saying that you'll have this happen to you, and I hope that you don't, but I just thought that I would share my experience. If you have any questions about the lap, feel free to ask me!

Welcome! Though sorry you have to be here. :(

Had my lap this summer for suspected endo and it completely changed my life (re: period pain), plus the RE believes I had close to no chance of pregnancy  before it was treated. So I just want to say, if you do need the lap, it was totally worth it in my case! :)

Thanks for being so kind, everybody!
I've had mixed feelings about getting the lap because I'm worried about causing more adhesions down the road. I also have a new fibroid that might be a culprit. My doctor said if she removes the fibroid, she wants to do the ex-lap at the same time. I will definitely be asking you ladies a lot of questions if that time comes. I'm really happy to hear such a positive response to the procedure.

Again, thanks for such a warm welcome.

Welcome! I don't have symptoms of endo that I'm aware of, but at the initial RE visit, he said I have an endometrioma on my R ovary. That is likely saying that I have endometriosis in the whole region, he said.  Then my HSG showed R tube blocked.  So he wants to do lapro surgery -- I'm giving it a few more months until my work busy season is over. A little nervous about surgery (I know it's minor but I've never had surgery before!)  Welcome to the board, you found the right place for support and lots of humor.  (And never snark! the ladies here are fiercely protective of our emotional safety here)
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!

Welcome!  sorry you have to be here.  Crossing that one year mark is shitty.

Is getting an saline sonohysterogram the norm?  I haven't heard of this one yet.

I don't know if it is the norm because I'm pretty new at this, but my doctor said she wants to do it to make sure the uterine cavity doesn't have any polyps or other problems.
